Summary: After some initial difficulties the stay was very positive. In the beginning we were offered a horrendous room which was absolutely not acceptable. After complaining we were offered a free upgrade and the room was good. Nice location with direct access to the sea. Staff is friendly and the property well kept. Parking is free and close to the rooms in a closed parking area. There is a nice bar and restaurant in the hotel.

Summary: Amazing property , with spacious rooms and outdoor spaces . Nice garden. Unfortunately all the property shows signs of problems with maintenance for example cracks on the walls of the rooms, window frames not working properly, shower had some problems with leaking. Light switches very confusing . Breakfast was not adequate for a 4 star hotel: poor quality ingredients. Signs to find rooms in the hotel not sufficient. Check in officer not very welcoming and ready to satisfy the requests. Good quality dining however very expensive.

Summary: When staying at the Grand Hotel Baia Verde, we were very disappointed. Upon arrival I asked reception if they had water in the room in which they retorted they don’t do that here. I asked where I could buy water and the lady at reception told me there was a shop up the road. (Very little detail). The sheets were not always changed in our room and there were many building works going on during our stay along with power cuts whilst being in the shower. This was not communicated in advance and made for an exceptionally unpleasant experience. In addition to this we requested a double room in which we had two single beds joined together and this was not communicated in advance. The breakfast was exceptionally basic with poor coffee, and a small selection of hams and pastries not at all worth paying for. The only positive was the exceptionally lovely bar staff who recommended a few lovely restaurants in the area. Overall very disappointing, will not be visiting again
