Positive: Great converted farmhouse set in a peaceful rural location. Modern with well appointed suites, a lovely pool and games facilities for children (football net, basketball and ping pong). Really welcoming with Alex and his family making us feel at home and looking after all our needs. A great traditional Basque stay ! Accessible to San Sebastián, Bilbao and Rioja, with close by restaurants.

Positive: Beautiful, rural hotel in perfect location for our holiday! We stayed in a room with kitchen facilities which helped us to have flexibility with meal choices. Our room had wonderful views over the garden, pool and countryside. Great place to go back to after a day exploring!

Positive: Large comfortable room. Location. Great updated old building, new and old features. Would have liked time to do some of the hiking in the area.

Negative: The area is quiet on a Sunday evening, not many places to eat, nothing to do with the accommodation just a quiet area. Poor planning by me.

Positive: Sometimes it is difficult to rate a property as it may not be all things to everyone. For us, en route to France and needing an overnight stay, the property was excellent. Not too far from our route and well worth the short drive. The property was in a most scenic part of the mountains and was like a stand alone farmhouse style. The host Alex and his son, greeted us with a smile and gave us information pertaining to the area, of which two recommendations we took. One was a walk through the countryside to the adjoining village which was a great joy and the other was to a simple local restaurant where we ate simple but tasty meals. Our room in the house was large and airy with a scenic outlook of great beauty. The bed and linen were superb and offered us a lovely rest. In an adjoining common area there was the facility to make a hot drink or to purchase cold beverages. A very homely way to provide extra touches. The shower was good and strong and the bathroom modern. We were delighted to have found such a personalised place for us to stay on our journey. Our only regret was that we had to move on the next day as we would have been very content extending our stay.
