Summary: I have stayed here before but i only returned as i wanted to show my friend the place. Check in staff were okay and breakfast staff were very good and even made us Jamaican chocolate tea. However check out was lousy. We dealt with a sour individual who did not know how to say please or thank you. I did tell him off. This idiot shoukd know that this is the last impression guest have of the property. Its living off its reputation but is over priced and over rated.

Summary: There's nothing my little family hates more than a vacation resort filled with concrete and loud music. Goldeneye was everything we love. Lush green spaces, lots of places to walk, pool and beach options that aren't overcrowded and extremely pleasant staff, who made our 10month old feel like a celebrity. Definitely saving for our next trip and trying to get friends on board. Food is a bit expensive.

Summary: a beautiful resort in a tranquil setting, staff were excellent and friendly. Wifi reception was bit mixed across the resort. The shop was expensive in my opinion. 50usd for a cotton printed t-shirt - hot price.

Summary: My wife and I just had the most incredible 4 night stay at GoldenEye for our anniversary. We stayed in one of the Lagoon Cottages which was very roomy and comfortable. We loved being directly on the lagoon where we could swim, kayak or just sit and watch the turtles go by. We enjoyed the beaches and pools on the property as well. All of the staff (front desk, restaurants, grounds, water sports, spa, etc.) were wonderful. And, every meal we had at Bizot Bar and Bamboo Bar was delicious and featured the freshest local ingredients and bright Jamaican flavors in a good variety of traditional dishes. I cannot think of a single negative. We cannot wait to go back next year.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at GoldenEye — it’s a truly stunning property. We loved our beach hut; it was charming, comfortable, and perfectly in keeping with the laid-back vibe of the resort. The grounds are incredible — the beach and especially the lagoon are absolutely magical. We stayed on the beach, but in hindsight, we’d have preferred a lagoon hut if one had been available. The restaurants were good — casual and relaxed, which suited the atmosphere, though on the pricey side (as expected for a place like this). While the overall service felt a bit hands-off and self-service at times, the restaurant staff were amazing — warm, friendly, and genuinely went out of their way to make the experience special. Special thanks to Kevin, who really stood out! There were a few service hiccups — we had breakfast delivered once and it arrived cold with a few things missing, so we didn’t repeat that. We also asked several times for the mini bar fridge to be emptied so we could use it for our own water, but it was never done. GoldenEye is undeniably beautiful and unique, with a one-of-a-kind setting. That said, for the price point, we felt it lacked a bit of the personal touch and polish you'd expect. Still, it's a special place that offers something truly different — peaceful, naturally stunning, and full of character.
