Positive: BEAUTIFUL. This accommodation was incredible. The room, set in a large 2 floor villa, was spacious and immaculately clean, as was the bathroom. The bed was enormous and so comfortable, and the room was furnished with everything you could need for a comfortable stay, including supplies such as toiletries, waters, sewing kit, towels, and other bits + private bathroom. The common areas are free to use and include several beautiful terraces and patios to relax and enjoy the garden + a lovely living room area and a huge dining table. It was nice to be able to socialise with other guests occupying the other 3-4 rooms. There are books about Sri Lanka and little guides about Galle made by the host. The kitchen is stocked with all sorts of appliances (blender, hob, toaster, kettle, washing machine) which you're free to use The booking doesn't state breakfast included but the host provided lots of ingredients and cut fruits and tea/coffee to enjoy. The host was so helpful and available for anything such as giving recommendations. Really our best stay in our whole 2 weeks in Sri Lanka! The location is also only an 18 minute walk from Galle fort and 5 minutes from the station.

Negative: Nothing to dislike at all.

Positive: Beautiful clean room. Very comfortable bed. Unexpected big free breakast with fruits, toast and eggs etc. Nice ladies who work there. Homely feeling. Common kitchen, fridge, washing machine all available.

Negative: Shared bathroom, although very clean, less practical.

Positive: I really loved this place! Incredible value for money, it was one of the best (and most luxurious) accommodation of my 1-month trip in Sri Lanka, at a really unbeatable price. Grand house, everything is new, huge bedroom, luxurious and confortable bed, hairdryer, AC, modern bathroom and hot shower, fridge for you to use (and help yourself from), Location was great - you can walk to the centre in 5-10 minutes and it's very quiet and peaceful street, The breakfast was amazing (didn't expect there would be breakfast as not included, but the owner kindly makes bread, fruits and all sorts of savoury snack available for you to help yourself from on the table in the morning). The best was the kindness and welcome of the lovely family. She had juice and snacks ready for my arrival. As a solo female traveler, she was also so caring to me, and gave me lots of great tips for my trip. Highly recommend. :)

Positive: The host was amazing and the house is great. She went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. The property is less than a 10 minute walk from the train station and walkable to the fort. The room I was in was very clean and spacious, with a separate bathroom. Lots of nice touches like putting a sewing kit in the drawer. The kitchen was fully equipped and I was able to make smoothies in the morning using the blender and the fruit she provided. The breakfast spread was really good- all the options you can think of. She has really thought about everything and ensures you have a great stay. & having lots of outdoor space to sit was a great bonus.

Negative: Nothing- great property and an amazing stay.

Positive: The building is 5 stars building, new, high ceiling, very very clean toilet, hot shower, good quality furniture and well equipped kitchen, I saw a microwave for the first time in Sri Lanka. In room, there is a sawing kit, nail clipper, etc in the drawer for us to use, attention to all the details by host. On the following morning, all the ingredient for breakfast was provided. The booking site said breakfast is not included! But we made/ate toasts and scramble egg, and various types of fruits from the basket. It was very good breakfast with nice plate and cup. They let us use washing machine and all the clothes were dry within a few hours. We came from Mirissa, almost everyday at least a couple of hours rained, therefore it was so nice to wear clothes feeling very "dry". Our 2 nights in Galle was one night before our 14 days trip end in Sri Lanka. We're very tired, but it was so comfortable staying here, our 2nd day .... we just enjoyed staying here (good wifi, too) and didn't want to go out! When we leave, we're given a gift (Sri Lankan black tea), too! It was incredible stay. Thank you!

Negative: Reading the reviews left by previous guests and someone mentioned about chant from the temple in the morning. I heard it too, but then the second night, I slept so well and I didn't notice anything. My second night here was my best night in my Sri Lankan trip. Bed was so comfortable and I didn't hear any noise from the house at all. The location is probably someone may fuss about it. From main road, you have to walk up for 10-15 mins. But close to the temple which is about 200 years old and statues in the temple were amazing and from there to church is about 2-3 mins. You can visit them when you've done everything in the fort. To fort about 20-25 mins, Galle station 15 mins by leisurely walk. Young people, you can do with minus 10 mins

Summary: 5 stars experience with 2 stars budget!

Positive: The villa is within walking distance to Galle Fort! Unexpextedly we could make breakfast ourselves for free using eggs, bread and fruit from the owner. Also, she did our laundry for us which was so sweet. Everything was clean.

Negative: Although the owner means it well, the welcoming experience could be improved. We were showed our room, and given a map with good restaurants, but there wasn’t really much talk or explanation.

Positive: The room was lovely, comfortable, and peaceful. I felt like I was at a family member’s home and had the best sleep of my entire trip!

Negative: Nothing to note, just be aware it’s not within Galle Fort. PickMe tuk tuks don’t enter the fort, so if you’re heading back at night, you’ll need to walk out of the fort to catch one, otherwise tuk tuks inside the fort can be very overpriced.

Positive: This is a clean and comfortable place to stay; a home away from home, with free snacks and washing machine available.

Negative: As it's relatively new, it's quite difficult to find. Use the Google link that is sent with the confirmation as Google took me to the wrong hotel, half an hour out of town. The owner is responsive to messages, but she isn't around a lot of the time, so there's no one to ask about any issues - I didn't have a top sheet and I couldn't work the lock on my room, but there was no one around to ask.
