Summary: Lucia and Roberto ARE the BEST. Soooo helpful, so knowledgeable, so gracious. This is the real deal , Tuscany as you have imagined. I can’t say enough for the location, location, location. Real country setting. low key, relaxed and beautiful. We rented the two bed, two bath apartment. Shopped local for supplies. Eat local with amazing dishes. All of Lucia recommendations we perfect. Thank Lucia and Roberto , you are the best. I know because I am the owner of a 5 star B&B in Maine USA

Summary: We stayed 15 days at I Glicini and had a marvellous experience. The property is located in an idyllic setting amongst vineyards and olive trees about 3 km from Tavernalle where there are many excellent restaurants and shops for essentials. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment which was spacious for 4 people with a lovely kitchen and private patio. Roberto and Lucia were wonderful hosts and took very good care of us. We highly recommend I Glicini.

Summary: The apartment is located in a beautiful setting, picturesque Tuscany, yet a short drive to Florence. The owners were very helpful. The 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment was perfect for 2 couples. Would recommend this whole heartedly.

Summary: My husband and I had a wonderful stay at I Glicini! Robert and Lucia were both warm, welcoming, helpful and generous. There was a nice bottle of local Chianti to welcome us and later Roberto brought us a bottle of their very own olive oil. Both of which were delicious! This gem in Tuscany is only 2 km from Tavarnelle where there are restaurants and a Coop for groceries. The town has a great outdoor market on Tuesdays. The unit we stayed in was immaculate, comfortable and very well equipped. I have asthma and was concerned that the unit is not "non-smoking". I emailed the owners with this concern and they replied to me almost immediately that they ask smokers to do so outside. I am very sensitive to the smell of smoke and found absolutely no hint of smoke in the unit. The pool was closed, which we expected as we were there in October, but I am sure it would be wonderful during the summer months. Instead, we enjoyed wine and cheese on the patio with an amazing view of the vineyards below. Being in the heart of Chianti, we were able to do day trips to the many towns in the area: Siena, Montepulciano, Pienza, Greve, San Gimignano, Lucca, Pisa and many more. I would highly recommend I Glicini for your next visit to Italy.

Summary: This property near Tarvanelle was the perfect spot for our family stay in Tuscany. The location was ideal within easy reach of everything Tuscany has to offer. It was less than an hours drive to Florence, Siena, Pisa, and many of the walled cities in the area. The town of Tarvanelle, just a few minutes away, offered many delicious restaurants, gelato shops, 3 markets, and more. The villa itself was lovely. We stayed in the 2 bedroom/2 bathroom villa. It was very spacious. The gardens and views surrounding the villa were phenomenal. The mattresses in both bedrooms were a bit firm for our liking, but it was otherwise a very comfortable space for our family of 4. The villa owners, Lucia & Roberto, we so great to work with. They gave us a tour of the property upon arrival, suggestions with maps to local restaurants and points of interests, and were available at any time during our stay if we needed it. I would highly recommend this property and hope to return someday soon!

Summary: We loved our stay at I Glicini. Lucia and Roberto were lovely hosts, friendly and welcoming. Lucia speaks very good English and she gave us lots of information about what to see in the surrounding area. Roberto keeps the pool immaculately clean and the grounds are well kept. The property is gated and the parking area is in the shade, very nice in hot weather. The apartment was spacious and very clean and the kitchen was well-stocked with pots, pans and dishes. The Co-op grocery store in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa has everything you need. I would definitely recommend this property as a wonderful place to stay in the countryside.

Summary: This property has all of the charm that we were expecting. Wonderful views and centrally located in the Tuscany region. Our visit here was in early April so the pool wasn't open but looks inviting. Also , since we were there in early April , it took a little while to warm the place up, but once that was done the home was very cozy and comfortable.

Summary: What a wonderful experience, staying at I Glicini!! This was our first time renting a villa in Tuscany and I can confidently say it exceeded all of our expectations! There were three of us: myself, my wife and my adult daughter. We stayed for one week as part of a three-week vacation in Italy and had the time of our lives here. The villa was very spacious and well-appointed, with a lovely kitchen furnished with new appliances and plenty of space to cook and to eat (since I did most of the cooking for breakfast and lunch, this was very important to me!!). The rooms were very clean and all of the beds were very comfortable. Of the three weeks we spent in Italy on this vacation, this was, by far, the most restful sleeping experience. After the craziness of Rome, this was just what we needed! Each day we enjoyed cooling off by the pool and walking around the property to take in the views. The outdoor patio dining area and bbq looked enticing, but due to the extreme heat in July we chose to eat indoors each day when we weren't dining in one of the many towns or cities within an easy drive of this place. Honestly, the location of this property is perfect as a central location for visiting many of the popular Tuscan destinations. There is also a charming small town within a 5 min. drive of the villa, Tavarnelle Val Di Pesa, to enjoy more local attractions and to pick up groceries and other necessities if desired. Very convenient. Finally, this review must note the wonderful experience of dealing with the owners of the property. Lucia and Roberto were charming, friendly, delightfully informative, and very accommodating. They have done a remarkable job of creating this true oasis of fun and relaxation in the heart of the Chianti region. We will most definitely return to I Glicini!
