Summary: We stayed for two nights. Apart from being made to wait until the very last minute to check in -- absolutely loved it. The property is just beautiful; lovely and well-kept grounds right up against the red rocks. We saw turkeys and mule deer in the grounds. The castle was beautiful with many original features but nicely updated. The breakfast was decent and the staff were friendly and efficient. Loved our visit. Also, it's very close to Old Colorado City -- we went down there both evenings.

Summary: We went to stay while climbing the Manitou Incline. The grounds that surrounded the Castle were absolutely beautiful. The room we stayed in, not so much. We were on the bottom floor of (3rd photo) Noise from the inside of building, from the doors, hearing all the foot traffic above us to outside doors to enter our building not being locked. Hair dryer started smoking, malfunctioning… The serenity of the property is perfect.. Rooms… not so much.

Summary: This is one of the most unique and incredible places to stay in Colorado Springs. If you need lodging in the area, you must stay here at least once. It is a 700-acre property with a fascinating history. I don't think I need to go into how beautiful and scenic the place is. In addition, the service was excellent and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. The only thing to note is that you might be staying in a separate building (lodge) on the property. They have like five other buildings/lodges besides the actual castle itself. If you want to stay in the castle, you will have to specifically request a room there.

Summary: The castle itself is beautiful, although we stayed in an adjacent lodge rather than the main building. The lodge was a basic building, nothing too special. Parking was down the road, and there was nowhere to stop in front of the building to drop off our luggage. We also found a roof leak with presumed black mold in the hallway. Our air conditioner stopped working in the night, so sleeping was difficult. We did notify the front desk, but unsure of the outcome.

Summary: The staff are amazing and kind, they made sure we felt welcomed and were comfortable. The property is beautiful and I felt so relaxed. Will definitely come back.

Summary: The grounds are fantastic to stroll or do a hike. The location right next to and in part of the GoG is fabulous! Breakfast on the castle balcony, spectacular and very good food!

Summary: We absolutely loved our stay Glen Eyrie! There was a wonderful breakfast buffet included each morning, and the setting was gorgeous. Our room was in one of the lodges, and it was not fancy, but very clean and adequate. The scenery as you walked out the door more than made up for the plain room! We saw deer and turkey everywhere and enjoyed one of the hikes recommended by the staff. Great location, too. We plan to return again!

Summary: Pos.: Beautiful surroundings, we hiked and saw resident turkeys roaming in the morning on our way to a very breakfast spread with new choices the 2nd day. Very kindly get greated there by Bob who tried to remember out name. Calm fellow guests Neg.: We stayed in a lodge but the room was across v noisy icemaker (why would they need it if they don't serve alcohol - wouldn't expect type of people who book here to bring their own). I rang twice during the night to have it switched off. They only put a note on it to ask people to not use it. Didn't stop the compressor from humming. We were moved the next day and was offered 20% rebate for one night, I declined and later accepted 50% off. Neutral: wallpaper and paintings aimed at slightly older guests, i.e. tied in with mock Tudor castle. No TV in room but we knew that when we booked (ethos of venue) and didn't need it. No dinner options but delivery possible. Coffeeshop (pricey) closes at 4pm. Apart from issues off 1st night, would stay again as better than chain motel/inn and price comparable if booked in advance. Can imagine to be fully booked in high season. Beautifull site to relax.
