Summary: The villa, facilities and owners are all nice. A little too hot in the house without air-conditioning when temperature outside hits 30c. It's very quiet there , perfect for calm holiday, but on the flip side, due to the location we had way too much of a wildlife around house. Also the only town in close proximity is Monpazier it's a small town with very limited selection of entertainment. Yet it's a beautiful, historical location with loads of character. Overall it is perfect for a very quiet holiday in the countryside but if you like a bit of a going out and entertainment too, it's probably not the best choice.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay in this house. It is charming and decorated with love. Great bed, bathroom and the kitchen is very well equipped. You have a lot of privacy in the garden and we used the swimming pool daily. Very close to Monpazier where you can find everyting you need. Nice area to discover and we loved to cycle there.

Summary: A lovely cottage, which is curiously roomy, given its actual dimensions. The owner and her family are delightful and very helpful. The only caveat being the WiFi connection, which was fickle at times. Overall, à lovely place to stay.

Summary: We could have done with more room in the lounge area, as there wasn't any space around the dining room table to sit comfortably. The owners were very friendly and helpful, it was in a lovely, quiet location and the dogs were safe as the property was well-fenced.

Summary: We were very impressed with the gîte near Monpazier, which surpassed the description in comfort and amenities. One of two small, nearly identical self-contained units across the field from the owner's more traditional stone house, ours was sparkling clean and looked like a new building; it also had a clothes washer, a full-sized refrigerator, a television with cable for French channels, and its own wifi system, as well as a heating bar in the bathroom which was useful on chilly mornings. Set in a rural area, it was very quiet and we also enjoyed the outdoor table and two chaises longues on mild, sunny days - a perfect place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine! We neglected to contact the owner about specific times of arrival so there was a bit of a mixup about that, but once we connected she was gracious and very helpful. The gîte is about ten minutes from Monpazier, handy for running in to have a meal or do some shopping. The only suggestion I have which would have made a delightful experience absolutely perfect was that there was no indoor setup for relaxing in the evening with a book. A wider, more comfortable couch than the rather hard settee in the living/dining area would take care of that. We would definitely recommend this gîte to friends and would be very happy to return ourselves. Our thanks to the owner, her husband, and her two charming children for making our stay such a pleasant one!
