Have a pleasant stay in the countryside, 830m above sea level, in this former summer farm of 120m² converted into a comfortable cottage with authentic and rustic decor. Ideally located for hiking and mountain biking, and close to the ski resorts of Gaschney and Schnepfenried, it offers a beautiful view of the ridges and the Petit Ballon. It is located 15 minutes from Munster which offers a wide range of activities (nautical area, museums, shops, ...) You can taste the marcaria meals at the nearby farmhouses and visit the villages of the wine route.
2 terraces allow you to have lunch outside, in the sun or under a roof. The meadow of more than one hectare is crossed by a small stream. The "little house" next door serves as a shed: no visible on the neighboring cottage which is 70 meters.
At your disposal: all the necessary equipment to cook small dishes like at home, tourist documentation, books, a CD library ...
Note: access to the cottage is via a forest road 300 m from the road, which is not cleared in case of snow.

Summary: The house was very cosy, clean and very well located. We enjoyed the garden, the beautiful view and the opportunities to make wunderful walking trips in the area. A lot of mountain houses are near the house and we enjoyed to have a short break in those mountain houses during our walking tours. Our daughter enjoyed her biketours and did a lot of wunderful climbs (grand ballon, petit ballon etc). What I really appreciated was the warm welcome and the flexibility of David and his wife. We arrived quite late at saterday evening. Thanks a lot for the good introduction of house and the ability to stay here! We would like to stay again at thus wunderful location!

Summary: We were in this home in August 2022 during a fairly warm and dry period for the region (35+). The home is perfect in this situation. It's located around 860m which means we rarely saw temperatures of 30+ around the home. Much shade, fairly easy to keep the house cool. Awesome view from the covered terras on the Petit Ballon. Very quiet, what you hear are the cowbells and nature, that's it. The home is very well equipped, we didn't miss anything. Several fun games and many many (mostly French) books. We had a great time here, including our three kids (7, 5 and 2 years old). Many reviews mention the unpaved road to get to the house, and I do wonder what would happen if you go down it in a very large car, but we didn't have any problems although it's an interesting experience the first time. Nice welcome from the host and we also had some good email contact before hand. Would really recommend staying here.

Summary: We have stayed here during the summer holiday and it was 100% perfect! The house is located on a beautiful spot and it contains everything you may need, varying from a range of bordgames, BBQ, raclette, mixer…everything you may need! Our son loved playing with the little waterfall on our terrace and the creek underneath the hill. Olga & David were really helpful in helping us find our way in Vosges and they are the perfect hosts! We will definitely come back here!

Summary: With exception of the need for really careful access with regular car, pretty much everything in the isolated cottage is perfect. It's close to many, many hiking and mountain biking opportunities, several good dine out opportunities exist. It's very very quiet, well equiped, clean and the support from Daniel & Olga is great.

Summary: The house is perfectly located and offers a great view. The house is clean and comfortable and the hosts are very nice. During our stay we did not see or hear anyone near the house except our family and many birds. We were sitting outside whenever we could: which was more often than expected in the second half of October. Our kids (5&8) loved to walk to a small stream downhill themselves. Inside there is sufficient room and you can find everything you will need. There are many great hiking trails around the corner.

Summary: We had a wonderful time. the house is very clean and you find everything you need. Especially the kitchen is equipped with everything. The view is very nice. Only the last meters to the house are a bit "freaky" but we made it with our normal car :-) David and Olga are very nice and kind hosts.

Summary: Very nice holiday house, at the end of a 300 m semi paved road on the heights of the Munster valley and very near the small Gaschney Ski area where you can make beautiful walks. Although the house is filled with personal things which is not strange as it is a family property for over 50 years, the place is absolutely stunning and peacefully calm. Well occupated house. Good beds. We will come back!

Summary: The cottage was just what we were looking for and David&Olga even put up a Christmas tree, so we could put the christmas presents under the tree.The cottage has a lovely homely feel to it and everything you would ever need. The day we arrived, Christmas eve, it had snowed and because of the cottage’s location it was a bit of a challenge to get all the suitcases up the house as we did not have a 4wheel drive and had to leave the cars on the main road. Other family members arrived earlier with a big food shop and luckily David&Olga were at the cottage and helped them up with their car. Overall the stay was great. Waking up to those amazing views everyday and spending the day sledding on Christmas day were some of the highlights of our holiday. Olga & David are very accommodating. Thank you very much for your hospitality.
