Summary: Staying at Hougoumont was a long held ambition four our group and it was not a disappointment. The accommodation was a perfect base for a full tour of the Waterloo battlefield. For us being able to stay in such a historic setting was an honour. I would highly recommend it.

Summary: Comfortable and peaceful apartment looking both into the courtyard and over the front of the farm, where much of the fighting occurred. Numerous books are provided to encourage a greater understanding of events. Freedom to roam the grounds, especially once the small museum had closed for the day, was most appreciated. Good views across the area and and an easy walk to the excellent main museum started to give an understanding of the geography of the battlefield. Easy drive to other museums.
