Positive: The gite was clean, comfortable and spacious. Peter is a friendly and helpful host. The location is ideal for visiting Guedelon, but there is also much more to see and do in the area.

Negative: Some aspects of the renovation score low. For example, ill-fitting flooring; missing skirting boards; exposed (and partly painted) pipework; badly fitting kitchen cabinet doors. There are four cats which we were told must not be allowed into the property. This made it very difficult to have doors and windows open without being on guard. The outdoor space for the gite is neglected and overgrown.

Positive: We really liked the location. It was very rural and located in a pretty village. We found lots of activities to do in the local area - there were lots of helpful leaflets in the accomadation. We like outdoor activities (eg cycling, kayaking, walking) and there were plenty of these nearby.

Negative: We generally liked everything. A hairdryer would have been useful but this didn't bother us too much.

Summary: A relaxing location in a lovely part of France.
