Summary: The George and Dragon was ideal, everyone very friendly but our room was opposite the hotel. The room itself was clean and in good order but so hot that we couldnt and didnt sleep all night. It was extremely noisy and the small lobby and stairs up to our room was filthy!! This was s real shame as the managers were very welcoming as were the bar staff.

Summary: We only booked to stay on the day of our arrival, so very short notice! We were warmly welcomed and our room was available for us. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing and delicious, we had a good choice of food and on the second morning we had specific requests which were met without any hesitation. The parking was not a problem in the car park with ample space. We only had to register our car in reception for the duration of our stay. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend the George and Dragon in Tarvin. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Summary: Lovely pub, friendly staff. We only stayed 1 night but the rooms were very clean and had everything you needed. The breakfast was cooked beautifully and really tasty. We would have had diner there but unfortunately it was the Christmas market on within Tarvin that evening so no food was served other than a stall outside. Free parking for people staying in the pub. Within a 15 min drive into Chester - Wouldn’t hesitate to go back. An enjoyable if not brief visit.

Summary: We had a lovely time staying at the George and dragon. The Tarvin Christmas market was on , the day of our arrival and the road was due to close from lunchtime, the landlord was very accommodating and let us check in earlier than usual,before the road closed, which was really kind. The hotel was warm and welcoming and we had a meal in the afternoon which was amazing value, good portions and really tasty. The room was clean and comfortable and the stay was made even better by the friendly staff. Breakfast was very nice, a full English breakfast set us up for a day at Chester Christmas market. I would definitely stay again in the future.

Summary: Quiet cosy room above a pub serving great food. Always a warm welcome by the great staff. Stay here twice a year as it ticks all the tight boxes. Good car park, comfy room and great shower with reasonable Wi-Fi for the area.
