Summary: Great home base for seeing Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park! Perfect location, friendly staff, we stayed two nights in the super cute motel and ate at the restaurant - the food and local beers were delicious! I stayed here a few years ago and loved it so much I was sure to book a stay at Gena’s again for this trip. We will be back!

Summary: What I expected but better . Good value and full of ingenuity. Food was also good in the restaurant . Only 5ing I would point out to people that the shed rooms are great but shared bathroom. Summary: Loved I could check in and out on my own. It’s the closest place you can stay at that is outside the park. Super affordable. Charming. I would stay here again.

Summary: Hotel was in a great location for the parks. It is older and small but it was comfortable. The little restaurant was excellent and priced well. The food did not let us down. Only thing that could make this better is new towels.

Summary: The staff and service was great, the only problem was the A/C unit froze up, had to turn it off for a couple of hrs to thaw, turned it back on and was running, but took awhile to cool down the room again

Summary: Our stay was very brief (arriving at 11 pm the previous night and leaving by 7 am the following morning), and we found the room (#6) to be smaller than we had imagined. There wasn't a table to keep our phones on. Also, the rooms were clean. The caretaker left the AC on so when we arrived, it was very chilly. Overall, it's a nice location to visit the nearby national parks, and thats what mattered to us.

Summary: The hotel is in a great location for Kings Canyon access, and the restaurant looked nice. But be aware that the rooms are tiny, to the point where ours had essentially no surfaces or usable space, there is basically no staff on site and the restaurant does not open until lunchtime. And there are no open resources within at least ten miles if you arrive later in the evening, as we did. (There is a pleasant coffee-and-croissants place and mini-mart about three miles away, open in the morning.)
