Positive: The house was immaculately clean, which made us feel comfortable right away. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook meals, including cookware, utensils, and even a rice cooker – perfect for longer stays. The washing machine was a huge plus, and the toilets were spotless, just like you'd expect in Japan. Highly recommended for families or travelers looking for a convenient, home-like experience with all the essential amenities.

Negative: There are 2 toilets but only 1 shower room.

Positive: Perhaps the best apartment we have stayed in, all over the world. It is a beautiful place to stay and so spacious. I absolutely loved the bathroom! And the bedroom with tatami mats and futon was a special treat. Very well equipped with everything we could need for our stay, in the kitchen and for laundry etc. Lovely quiet suburban area. It felt like we were living like locals. Huge Daiso store very close by.

Negative: It was a little far from the Hakone sights and we got a quick train to Odawara and then a bus up to Hakone. Odawara Castle is very close by. Nearest convenience store about 5 minute walk away.

Negative: Ashigara is one stop away from Odawara but the property is only 5min walk from the station

Positive: The house is comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped. They provide free mineral water, coffee, sugar, oil, etc. The mattresses are comfortable. It is not walking distance to the city center, but the train station is about 5 minutes walk (not covered by the free hakone pass). The contact with the host is very fast. The problem with the onsen coupons has been solved.

Negative: The location is good, but please note the highway. Some rooms have some noise from it. There is a lack of a clothes hanger at the entrance. A small lamp would be useful in one of the rooms.

Positive: check in instruction were very clear with photos and easy to follow directions. it was easy to get the key. once inside all the amentities were labelled, including remote controls. this is not an old house, all the amenities are modern including bath control. lots of towels and essentials like toothbrushes and cooking oil.

Negative: the parking space was limited. i would not recommend arriving with a full size van or large SUV. tip - there are 2 front door locks, (common in japan) top and bottom of the door handle.

Summary: The Best Option for stay in Odawara.
