Positive: Diana is the owner. She is charming and worked hard to make our stay pleasant. The rental is in a fascinating building with an interesting history. The village is surrounded by towering cliffs.

Positive: The host was really friendly and helped us out with what to visit in the local area. The apartment was spacious with comfy beds, a lovely new shower room and a well equipped kitchen so that we could cook an evening meal - a good thing as Switzerland was so expensive for us.

Negative: The location was good, a reasonable walk from Igis station but we went to the wrong village to start with as there is a street with the same name in that village with only one digit different in the postcode. Apparently we were not the first to make this mistake.

Positive: Met the owner at the property, very easy to get in.

Negative: The property is pretty much run down. That's ok and reflected in the price. Yet when we arrived sometime mid April it was really cold inside, cooler inside than outside actually. So it's not a property you want to hang around with more than absolutely necessary. The heating warms up the place in a matter of hours so half way through the night it was fine. It would have been a lot more comfortable had the owner turned on the heating a few hours in advance. Also, I had carefully selected a place where pets are not allowed because of allergies and it turned out the owner has a dog herself.

Summary: Value for money but not more than that.

Positive: Beautiful old house. Basically, everything is there for 1 night. Accommodation on the 1st floor, the hostess lives on the 2nd floor. The rooms are located immediately from the entrance. The bathroom and toilet are at the end of the hallway and it's a bit cool there, but the bathrooms are very newly renovated.

Negative: The main door to the rooms won't close, the key is inserted, but it's not for this room. It was uncomfortable for me. There were only 3 towels, while there were 5 of us. But I was ready for it, I took my own.

Negative: Nothing really but being really if being picky the bathroom was at the end of a long corridor which was a bit scary at night and would have liked some hand soap, but can't complain it was a lovely stay!
