Positive: It is my pleasure to post a well deserved 10 stars review! Geary Parkway is newly refurbished, very clean, friendly/attentive/hardworking staff, excellent and easy communication via text and email, very comfortable bed, fresh brewed coffee in the office, nicely appointed room with a small fridge, good closet space/shelves, great shower, we appreciated that there was places to hang towels(SO many hotels lack these), nice outlets next to bed, great TV, lots of light, wifi that actually works, delicious sushi right next door, plenty of thriving businesses--markets--restaurants nearby, seemed like a safe neighborhood. We did not have a car so I can not comment on parking in the small lot. Also, we did not use the heater/AC so I don't know if it was loud or not.

Negative: I can't think of a thing to complain about, it would be nice to have a box of tissues. I am sure the price was a bit high due to the major concert celebration weekend. Prices were high throughout the city.

Summary: A perfect home base to enjoy 3 nights Dead & Co. at Golden Gate Park

Positive: Host VJ was very nice and welcoming. Room was newly renovated and modern looking. Bathroom was large and comfortable. Shower was roomy with hot, high pressure water. Really convenient to Golden Gate Park, nice restauaraunts, bars and cafes.

Negative: Could have had coffee maker and microwave in room. Also we had to book during surge pricing for the Grateful Dead festival in Golden Gate, so we paid way too much. Gotta be aware that it is right on Geary and close to 101. So lots of road noise. They did provide ear plugs.

Summary: 4 star at the hugely overpriced surge we paid. 5 star otherwise, in certain situations

Negative: The door was a bit loose and not well sealed, so there was quite a lot of street noise – earplugs are definitely necessary for sleeping, but the host thoughtfully provides them in the nightstand. There’s no way to make tea or coffee in the room itself, but it’s available from the host in the lobby.
