Positive: The location of Garth Gill is beautiful. We say outside a lot, just admiring the hillsides. There are walks from the doorstep and a lovely station just down the road on the Settee to Carlisle line. There is plenty of room in the property, it was very clean and comfortable. The peaceful location was always lovely to return to after a day exploring.

Positive: House exceptionally clean, homely and everything you need for short or long stays. Owners left a lovely welcome hamper as well as fresh milk in the fridge. View spectacular, walkable to Garsdale railway station (part of the Settle-Carlisle line so easy access to lots of other places). Communication with owners great.
Negative: Can't think of anything - everything was just perfect.
Summary: Fabulous house in a spectacular location.

Positive: As a couple we were absolutely amazed by the character and the spaciousness of the cottage, what an absolutely stunning setting it is, we could not find a single fault with anything. We hope to return in the not too distant future. Thankyou very much to the owners for providing such a beautiful cottage in such a lovely part of the UK.

Positive: the peace and quiet was exceptional.
Negative: the property needs a good cobwebbing & clean throughout and would benefit from a complete repaint. the mattresses were very very hard an uncomfortable sleep. There was also a strong smell of soot from the chimney even though it wasn't lit all week we was there, think perhaps it needs sweeping.
Summary: it's a shame as this could be exceptional....
