Positive: It’s a beautiful home with a lovely garden. The house was clean and stocked with kitchenware. It was a great location for our itinerary. It felt very safe with the gated entrance and automatic blinds.

Negative: CAUTION to Winter Travelers - You pay for your electricity. In the “Important Information” section of Booking, you’ll read you’re given an electricity allowance. If staying during colder temps, you’re likely to have to pay. We had two adults and two small children, we were gone the entire day, only to come home for dinner, baths and bed. We kept the heat below 20 yet exceed our allowance by THREE times. We had to pay 20€ at checkout, which isn’t a lot, but it was very frustrating to deal with “paying bills” prior to leaving. Also, no caffeine was provided. There’s two coffee machines and a kettle but no coffee or tea provided. A warm cup of coffee would have been nice the morning after traveling all day and arriving very late.

Summary: Lovely house. Hostess may consider raising the price rather than charging for utilities.

Positive: Beautiful property, extensive lawns, large garage, Conservatory, Electric gates, child proof gardens.

Negative: No toilet in the bathroom, the main toilet is off the living room. No air conditioning or fans, however, all if the windows have electric shutters that if opened partially allow air through. This proved really good in keeping the house cool. Bathroom and kitchen is a little dated but the conservatory is fantastic.

Summary: Overall a lovely quiet countryside property and only 5 miles from the beautiful Bayeaux.
