Positive: The room was very clean, floor was definitely considered in the design specially being so close to the beach easier to clean sand. I got room 10 which was huge with high ceilings. Kitchen was very useful. Coffee maker was 🤌🏽.

Negative: The walls were very thin I could hear people walking in the room next to me, and I could hear the💥 🤣😂 let’s just say someone was putting in some work, to the couple next to me the tv definitely doesn’t do anything. Oh and parking is definitely first come first serve, When tourist show up good luck finding a spot.

Positive: We truly enjoyed our stay! The place was excellent, very clean and spacious. Very close to the beach, and very close to MuirWoods. The manager was fantastic, humble, friendly, and very helpful. She even moved her to allow our big car a secure parking space. She and the team went above and beyond! Awesome people!

Positive: Communication with the Surf Lodge and getting access to our room was simple and efficient. Everything was managed through text. The location is great with access to the beach, restaurants, a market and hiking trails within a short walk. The mini-kitchenette is a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The bed was comfortable, despite being a murphy bed.

Negative: The specific room we stayed in - the Funboard Room, is outside the gate of the complex, meaning more road noise and less security than the other rooms. Worst of all is that because it is a adjoining room, there appears to be no sound proofing or insulation between the Funboard Room and the adjoining room. Our first night we had lively neighbors who chatted very loudly well into the evening. The second night a couple and their child were in the adjoining room. Happy to say the child went to sleep early and slept well...we didn't hear them from 10 PM - 8:00 AM. If you stay here, bring ear plugs and eye-masks. There are 2 frosted windows that do not feature coverings, so light does come in in the morning. All said, I would stay again...I would just be prepared.

Positive: Beautiful room. Loved the high ceilings, large bed, and bathroom tiles. Nice shower as well. Nice decor/ambiance.

Negative: Lots of noise from the room next door! Didn’t feel like much of a sound barrier. Also it felt like our room was basically in the parking lot, as opposed to all the other rooms behind the wooden fence. We felt like we had to keep our blinds closed most of the time since people were constantly walking past to go in and out. Not much privacy and not great to look out at a row of cars and to have all the other residents looking in. We might stay again at the Surf Lodge but definitely not in that room.
