Positive: the property was great! so convenient and well worth the price! we loved how all of the happenings of downtown portland were within walking distance. shoreline, docks, restaurants, bars, ice cream, shops, outdoor activities, etc. there is so much to do in the area and it was great to have a beautiful place to come back to at the end of a long day of adventuring. easy building access, keyless entry, elevator, convenient parking options (fore street garage is directly behind the building. very safe and easy, although being a little pricey), great view, comfy beds, plenty of clean linens, lots of seating, brand new appliances, coffee, paper products, fully equipped kitchen, spacious shower, soaps and cleaning supplies, tv with access to lots of channels and streaming services. a great place to stay in old port! would definitely recommend to others and would stay here again for portland trips in the future.

Negative: we had a few issues with the electrical/HVAC during our stay that i emailed the contact about but i didnt receive a response. the AC unit in the right-side bedroom was finicky. when we arrived, the hoses were not hooked up to the outside air and the window opening adapter was nowhere in sight. we were able to find the hose connection part but not the remaining piece to seal off the rest of the window opening. i was able to get the unit working to keep the room cool overnight and it should work fine for the duration of our stay. also, if both the AC in that room and the ceiling light are on, it would trip the breaker. we ended up just keeping the light turned off in that room and it was fine. lastly, on our last day, i tried to turn on the overhead light and fan in the bathroom but it would not work. i tried the breaker box but nothing would turn that switch back on. thankfully, the vanity light still worked and we kept the bathroom door open while showering on the last day and everything worked out.

Positive: The location is perfect!!! Spacious apartment right downtown so you can easily walk to everything. It was easy to enter and exit using the key pad.

Negative: The apt was very hot. The bedrooms were cool, but the living area where the couch was was very hot. Also, for the price we were paying we'd expect to not have to take the trash out and strip all of the linens, not a big deal but cleaning the place spotless was a bit of an annoyance for the price.

Positive: Rachel is an excellent host and was there to answer our questions right away. The apartment was just as described and as you see it in the pictures. It is comfortable. It's in a GREAT location for downtown Portland. Convenient to some excellent bars, restaurants and cool stores and very close to the Regency Hotel which has an excellent spa and the waterfront. The interior is cool and funky and the appliances are top notch. The beds are comfortable and the living room is perfect for hanging after a long day of dining and touring.

Negative: The Building fronts on two streets, ask Rachel to give you the address of the "Back door", it will save you time and effort in unloading the car. Make sure the windows are not only closed, but also locked, otherwise you'll hear some street noise from the clubs and bars which are open until about midnight then you might hear the seagulls who stay up even later. Locking the windows screens out just about all the noise. Bedroom 1 has a hot air blower heating system which can also be an issue if you are a light sleeper. Bedroom 2 has a quieter baseboard system. Even in Bedroom 1 the noise is not great, but if you are sensitive to forced hot-air heating, choose bedroom 2. There's 2 hour limit on-street parking, but there's a garage right next door. Downside is the cost, $60 per day. Overall we had a great stay, this is an incredible location and I'm just noting a couple of things to help future guests.
