Frog Cottage is situated in leafy Ventnor away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to enjoy all Phillip Island has to offer, half way between Cowes and the Penguin Parade. Frog Cottage is set on an acre of native bushland, next to the Anchorage Road general store which is very convenient for the paper and groceries. The Anchorage Road Beach, is only a 700m stroll along a made walking track from the cottage and is a safe, North facing, bay beach, ideal for swimming with kids or for fishing and kayaking.

Two separate rooms (not interconnecting) which lead out to an undercover deck both of which are yours to enjoy.
Living room - Four seater couch, which can be made into a single/double bed if extra bed is required for kids or third adult.

Summary: Loved it. Unusual that you had to walk outside from living room to bedroom. Gravel path from car park area to cottage poorly lit at night. Rooms very cosy and comfortable. We were concerned one night when the power went off for some time..could be a safety issue for us oldies ! Communication with host…excellent…she was most accommodating.

Summary: I have to say we enjoyed our stay very much. Heaps of compliments. Nice little cottage with character, clean, neat, cosy and quiet place. Property is in good location to visit attractions on Phillip Island. Modern decor and well laid out cottage.Veranda one of the best spot for relaxing. All furniture in and out the property are new and …clean. Frog cottage ticks all the boxes. From the different birds around the property to the cozy accomodation, we had an awesome time!! We will come back for sure.

Summary: Lovely bush setting, very peaceful, private and relaxing. The bed was comfortable and plenty of bedding, towels etc which was great. 7 min walk to the beach! And a 2 min walk to the general store are both very convenient. I was also grateful for the WiFi. Heard some possums on the roof and the bird life is lovely too. You feel like you're in the birds world, which is lovely! It would be great if the kitchenette/ cleaning supplies were better equipped. This area would be my only complaint. There were no BBQ wipes or anything to clean BBQ with. I did have some wipes, so was able to clean the best I could. The microwave wasn't working.There were no sponges or dish cloths, so used 1 of the teatowels and dish soap to clean dishes. No dish rack to dry dishes, so I had to dry the bench quite a few times from the excess water. No bin liners, so used an empty plastic bag we had. A tissue box and paper towel would be ideal too. Otherwise a lovely stay. Overall, though, happy with the stay.

Summary: We were in dire need of complete down time and Frog Cottage was perfect for a whole lot of sitting and sleeping and gentle exercise and bird watching. The space was lovely and clean and it was only our fault that we didn't read about amenities properly so we took lots of food that wasn't suitable for bbqing or microwave. The internet was great but that was perfect for our mission of detaching and stepping off the world.
