Positive: Great little town outside Catania. Stefania was very nice and helpful. Clean and kitchen had all you needed to cook. Nice view of sea.

Negative: Driving is an adventure in Sicily! Take public transportation. Also garbage overflows in Sicily. Neither impacted our stay though.

Positive: The host welcomed us and showed us around the apartment ,our own private courtyard and a shared garden which was fabulous.The apartment had everything we needed private kitchen with large fridge, oven and all the kitchen essentials.The apartment and the whole of Frasteva was so nicely decorated and well thought out. The private bathroom was great with a lovely shower.There was plenty of room in the apartment ,a comfy bed ,good sized bedroom with space to store your holiday clothes etc.It is ideally placed for getting to many of the places we wanted to visit - the Roman villa ,Syracuse,Taormina,Agrigento( and Mount Etna is not far). The host was able to advise us on how to get around - in our opinion you need a car and there is car parking available for Frasteva guests. We liked Catania also - lovely to walk around with plenty of shops ,churches and cafes.

Positive: A beautiful village and a spacious apartment with excellent terrace, especially during summer months. Very good bathroom and kitchen area. Very kind owner, ready to explain everything. A parking place for our car. Comfortable bed.

Negative: A lot of stairs inside the apartment. Not so many sockets for charging our mobiles. The a/c wasn't in the bedroom, but we didn't need it. I think that the terrace should be cleaner
