Positive: The bed was comfy but the experience was totally spoilt by the very difficult access. It's nowhere near Underbarrow for starters. We couldn't find it, my sister in law who lives in the area couldn't find it, Taxi drivers couldn't find it, nobody could find it.
Negative: The location was extremely difficult to find. A location pin on Google Maps in such a remote area would be helpful. The lane is very narrow and difficult for larger vechicles. I'd advise arriving during daylight hours if at all possible. No hot water is unforgivable at the price (we paid £712 for two nights). To discover there was no hot water when we went to shower just before bedtime after a harrowing experience of trying to find the place in the dark was disappointing. On reading the very comprehensive book of rules and instructions we learnt that we needed to press the boost button on the water heating system in the airing cupboard and wait 45 minutes for it to heat. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect hot water on arrival without user intervention. The freezing cold shower was not a nice experience. The big book of rules is filled with rules and instructions on energy saving and the cost of living crisis to the point of stinginess. No EV charging, no outside lights, no open windows, etc. At £356/ night I expect the heating and hot water to be on and logs for the wood burner to be supplied.
Summary: Nice property spoilt by difficult to find location and parsimonious owners

Positive: Outstanding location for peace and quiet. Views were great and good striking distance to Windermere & Kendal. Very well appointed and extremely comfortable.
