Positive: Great location in a small mountain town! The house is very open on the inside with a lot of windows that let in plenty of sunlight. It stayed warm and cozy while I was there in the winter with my husband. The kitchen is beautiful and has pretty much everything you could want for a week long vacation.

Negative: the rain leaked into the windows -- no one's fault. John responded to us on how to handle it. No complaints - just an act of nature.

Positive: We love the cabin! This was our 2nd visit. In the Spring, the mountain laurel bloom everywhere. In the Fall, the leaves are in full color. We love the isolation of the cabin, the wildlife around the cabin, and we especially enjoy sitting on the huge deck looking our into the woods. We also love the town shops in Meadow of Dan and in Floyd.

Negative: One bathroom would be a problem for a family, but maybe not.

Summary: Relax at a beautiful, rustic log cabin, while enjoying nature all around.
