Positive: The location was exactly what I was looking for - in the middle of the countryside, walks nearby, not far from ‘civilisation’. Seeing the cows, sheep and pot-bellied pig was a wonderful bonus. I was able to see out of the ‘French windows’ and watch the sunset as well as see the distant hills and the nearby fields. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was great - instant hot water and good pressure - at the kitchen sink too. The whole place was nice and clean, and there were lovely homely touches like the cushions and plants.
Negative: I couldn’t find a microwave and I had brought a couple of meals with me that I had assumed I could heat in a microwave. I class myself as a resourceful person and so I was able to use the pans and utensils that were provided and still had a lovely hot meal. I am glad that I had brought with me a fold-away beach chair or else I think I might have been quite uncomfortable on the bench by the dining table. I’m afraid sitting any length of time on a bed causes my back to ache. On the whole day I was there, I was writing and doing some reading. It’s a shame the tv couldn’t be a little lower - the current height gives a bit of neck ache - I’m only 5’2” and short-backed, so quite low down! It doesn’t give for an easy ‘watching’ angle!
Summary: Great place to get away and relax.
