Positive: This is a gorgeous cottage in a remote location very close to the shores of Loch Awe - wonderful views. The property is clean, spacious and extremely comfortable - the beds in particular - with all the facilities you need. Elspeth is a wonderful host - there was a welcome pack waiting for us on arrival and she popped round for a chat and gave us some excellent tips regarding supplies and things to do. Although we weren't able to make much use of it due to the weather, the garden and decking were lovely, such a peaceful location.

Negative: Not a fault as such and nothing that can be done about it, but worth bearing in mind that this is a remote location and getting anywhere involves driving via a single track road alongside the loch - very picturesque but might be a bit fraught for nervous drivers! The stunning views and peaceful surroundings more than make up for it though...

Positive: Cottage was exactly what we wanted, very comfortable, spacious and great views, home away from home. With having own water supply it was really brown, but wasn't a big problem to buy our own water.

Negative: It was a distance away from any other towns, so had to travel a good bit to get anywhere, and roads were single tracked in and out of cottage for miles.

Positive: Perfect location to get away from it all. Lovely walk about 15 to 20 minutes down to the loch for swimming. Very quiet and peaceful. Quite a bit far out from any facilities, so do all your shopping before and car is a must.

Positive: The cottage was in a beautiful location by Loch Awe, very well maintained with a pretty garden, lovely views and everything that we could need for a relaxing week away. The single-track road has lots of passing places so wasn't a problem at all and the views along the road are beautiful so it all added to the attraction of being away from it all (we drove the longer way down the loch from Dalmally to Durran on the way in, specifically for the views and experience, but took the shorter route in and out via Ford each day). It's a short walk to get down to the shore of Loch Awe and there are views of the loch from the cottage (which we've been missing since being home!). We saw deer, red squirrels and woodpeckers at the cottage and the surrounding area is stunning - we loved our week of walking and exploring Argyll & Bute. Elspeth was lovely and welcoming on arrival and gave us a few tips for the area, and the welcome pack was much appreciated. We'd highly recommend Forester's Cottage and would love to return!

Positive: We loved the location and the single track drive, stuning views, very comfortable, warm and cosy cottage. Felt very welcomed and loved the fire place in the evenings.

Negative: Maybe some sort of roof cover for rainy days but still want to enjoy your coffee or cup of tea outside. Nothing else to add Nothing else to add
