Positive: Excellent location on a street with lots of restaurants. The hotel has a nice pool with lounge chairs. Very friendly and accommodating staff. I checked in at 3:00 am with the security man and paid later that morning when the front desk staff arrived. Hot shower with strong water pressure.

Negative: We wished the kitchen had a blender. There was a stove and microwave.

Summary: Relaxing in The Gambia near the beach!

Positive: The location was good a little walk from main strip which made it a nice quiet area but I think a few bars and night clubs in area were closed due to it being low season when I stayed . Pool was a joy and grounds and public areas kept spotless by the hard working staff.

Negative: Nothing I found the apartment and facilities excellent.

Summary: Great place for a relaxing holiday .

Positive: Good location and room. Staff are helpful, however this does not make up for the experience detailed below.

Negative: I could not check in at the appointed time (13 September 2am - 3am). No keys were left at reception and security staff could not get any of the management by mobile despite numerous attempts. I had to make alternative arrangements at my cost and time. I visited the site later in the afternoon of 13 September to check in. I experienced problems paying for the room by card as the card machine had malfunctioned, allegedly. I got cash and paid for the room. On checking my bank statement on my return home I discovered that the payment had gone through and taken from my bank. I have emailed the site requesting a refund. Should I not receive it, I will start legal action.

Summary: Good accommodation but communications issues in terms of privately let rooms. Not acceptable.

Positive: I like the fact there were amenities around were very useful. One can just take a walk, even the kololi beach resort opposite was also useful for breakfast and the use of the beach.

Negative: The WIFI went down on us during our stay, no internet access for nearly 24hr. We were told it was a technical issue, but when the company arrived they informed us it was payment issue. This should have been checked before our arrival. The toilet got blocked on us. The kids and even myself could not use it. I informed the reception around 8:30am when I left for my meeting but it was only around 11am to 12noon when the cleaner arrived to clean that it got resolved. That was very upsetting as my kids needed the bathroom and it was unhygienic. I also mentioned it was an emergency before leaving. I would advise the owner to send a real plumber to check the toilet as it seems like this has happened before because one guy just came with a plunger and unblocked it. This will happen again to other customer if not properly checked.

Summary: My stay overall was really nice, the kids loved it, apart from unforeseen obstacles that happened.
