Positive: I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Forest Side Bungalows. The bungalows are located just outside Tetebatu, which is an advantage because the rice fields are still untouched by tourism, and the views from the bungalows are breathtaking. Scooters are available for rent, so you can go wherever you like. The family is very welcoming, and Son and Nex make sure every guest feels at home and well taken care of. I highly recommend booking a tour with them. Son gave an excellent tour through the rice fields surrounding the village, the monkey forrest, bamboo basket weaving and drove me all the way to the Benang Stokel and Benang Kelambu waterfalls. He is very knowledgeable and gives great insights into life at the Lombok countryside. The food prepared by Elle was also outstanding. Highly recommended, one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed, I hope to return someday!

Positive: Location and view really are unbeatable, mind blowing view on rice fields with the Rinjani in the background. The staff also are so cool, young chill people who love their town and island, they know a lot and we shared amazing moments together.

Positive: Wonderful view of the rice terraces and very authentic and charming bungalows. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind. A special thanks to Son, who was so welcoming and helped us with everything we needed. He even gave us a tour of the nearby town and rice terraces!
Negative: The morning calls to prayer from nearby mosques can be quite loud. Remember to bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. :)

Positive: After reaching this hidden gem through a very bumpy road from Kuta, you will get to experience the greatest hospitality. This is the place to live like a local, get to know an indonesian village and be welcomed like family. We joked with the owner without words and had the best conversations through Google Translator. He let us taste chilis from his field, told us about how he built the houses himself and introduced us to his family. His wife and daughters cooked delicious meals from scratch (like making fresh coconut milk for the curry 😍 I also had the best Mie Goreng I've ever tasted). It was possible to get a private tour on a scooter to a local waterfall, monkey forest, rice fields and places to try out traditional handicraft. We even got to add a visit to the mosque to really get to know local traditions. At night we played cards and hung out together. The views from the bungalows and in the common area are also beautiful. The bungalows are simple but very new and clean. We definitely recommend staying two or more nights. Such a special place!
Negative: Note that it does get colder here at night so pack something warm!

Positive: This was the most beautiful accommodation I stayed in during my whole trip in Indonesia. The view of the rice fields and Rinjani when you wake up is amazing! And the bungalows are clean and spacious! Make sure to contact them for Puhan to pick you up from the harbour! The best man ever☺️ Also book a tour at the accommodation with Son and Mex, we had the best day with them!😍
