Positive: The hotel side of the property, is undoubtedly the best customer experience there is to offer.

Negative: The wine tasting was disappointing. The host left us, without tasting the last round of wine and the food is not paired with wine. To be honest, the menu could do with a refresh, and a “tasting” menu perspective, rather than large portions of unenjoyable meals.

Positive: The swimming pool area looks modern and spacious with a great view. The restaurant is a beautiful structure. The room was very clean. Breakfast was satisfactory. Cooked eggs available at an extra charge of 6 euros per oder.

Negative: The staff were cordial enough, but other than a daily text to ask if we want a dinner reservation, there is no inquiry about guest satisfaction with their stay, even at check out. The room was NOT LIKE THE PICTURE OF THE DELUXE ROOM on booking.com! There were no balcony doors with a Juliette balcony, only a small window, so the room was very dark. After inquiring, the receptionist said I should have specifically requested a balcony! When I showed her the picture on my reservation confirmation from booking.com, showing a room with a balcony, she said there are only balconies in the suites. I was later shown, by the other staff person, a room along a dark corridor and up over black stone steps with no rail, to a room that looked more like the picture on booking.com, but as it was up another flight of stairs on which it was hard to see your footing, I was concerned about falling. We kept our assigned room. Once settled in, I wanted to try the pool. I was looking forward to this, as it is advertised as a heated swimming pool. It was absolutely FREEZING! Definitely NOT AS ADVERTISED! The restaurant is beautiful, and the restaurant staff were nice and professional, but the food is overly fussy, and the portions are VERY small, while the prices are higher than similar high-end establishments. We, therefore, only ate there one night. Having chosen this place over others in the area, largely for the advertised heated pool, room pictures, and restaurant availability, we were rather disappointed. If those things aren't as important to other people, they may enjoy Firriato more than we did.

Positive: Very sirene location: waking up between the vineyards! The facilities were also very nice (gym, pool, breakfast, wine tasting, etc.)

Negative: Bedroom could have been slightly better decorated, but nothing major

Positive: The location was beautiful wine was lovely complementary bottle of wine on arrival ladies at check in desk were lovely, as was sommelier during wine tour

Negative: I would have rated this property higher had all the facilities been available to us. We visited during the end of April, which I appreciate is shoulder season however all the hotels amenities were non-existent during this time and we were not told this prior to booking. The pool was covered. The restaurant was closed. Nowhere to get a drink or coffee or snack. We had, for unknown reasons, breakfast delivered to our room the first morning on a tray. We had to sit on the edge of our bed to have our breakfast. No spoons provided for our yogurt. No milk for our coffee. The shower water goes from boiling hot to freezing cold which is not great. There was no phone in the room to call reception (which closed at 7pm first night). Given a number only for emergencies… The property seemed busier the second night which meant the restaurant was open and we were able to have breakfast in the breakfast area by the pool, which was nicer. The pool remained closed. The wine was lovely during our wine tasting tour. However the tour was quite short and the food at the food pairing was not nice… The Sommelier was lovely though. Wish we could have actually enjoyed the hotel amenities more and not have to drive to the coast during the day as we were so bored, couldn’t even grab a drink or coffee at the hotel.
