Negative: The lodge is on a complex with a swimming pool and a gym. We expected to have access to the facilities. However we were informed that we were not entitled to access as it was a private booking. We had no idea and there was an image on booking.com of the pool and information in the lodge about complementary access. So we were disappointed as this was one of the reasons we booked

They did false advertisement of swimming when we couldn't use the swimming pool in that package and they sent me a email saying that i will have to pay 6 pounds per adult and 4 pounds per child for swimming so i was happy with to pay but the receptionists said that we cant use the pool because we are staying at a private lodge number 30 it was. Because its a private lodge and the owner of the lodge is having some sort of dispute with the land and because of that my kids wasn't even able to use the pool and we were treated differently because we stayed at the private lodge compare to all other customers were allowed to use the swimming pool fecilities.

Positive: Clean & tidy with good facilities.

Negative: Having to pay for parking. Having to walk down gravel paths with all our luggage. No trollies at reception and there are only three for the whole site so they have to rely on people bringing them back to reception. We were told that the designated car park space for one of our cars was number 30 and had a red cone. Advised by reception that there was no number 30 and to park anywhere!

Summary: We were attending a family wedding at a local venue so the locality of the lodge served our purpose very well.
