Negative: The heating was not very evenly distributed. Even though the thermostats were all on 5 some rooms were colder than others.

Positive: Very spacious, lovely and clean. Had everything you could think of from towels & linen, to cleaning materials, books, dvds & even a thoughtful pint of milk left in the fridge so we could have a brew on arrival and a packet of biscuits. Lovely views over the tops. Went to the on site restaurant, lovely food & even had entertainment on in the evening. The staff were all welcoming towards us. We didn't really use any other facilities as we had plans already made. Came for our sons Passing Out Parade at HMS Raleigh which is a 15 min drive away, so location was good for getting there.

Negative: The lighting on site wasn't very good especially walking back to the lodge in the evening. The raidiators in the lodge didn't seem to heat up very well so it did get very cold at times, especially in the bedrooms. We did manage with just the fire as we were out a lot of the time, so we didn't complain about it. However if we had been stopping for a longer period of time we would have liked it to be warmer.
