Set within the small village of Darley, North Yorkshire is Cloggers Cottage, a stone built, 3 bedroomed property which has undergone loving renovations bringing this holiday home up to a cosy standard.
In an excellent location with many routes to a vast array of places to visit such as Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal, Ripley Castle or visit the cities of York and Leeds, offering a host of places to eat, sights to see and memories to make. This is the perfect base for exploring some of the hidden treasures of Yorkshire. The famous Wetherby, York and Ripon racecourses are nearby, while also being a perfect base to explore all that the area has to offer walkers alike.
Upon entering Cloggers Cottage, the hallways leads off to the kitchen & dining area, but not before the warmth of the living room welcomes you, walls decorated with local photographs lends to the history of the village and ample seating for all guests, plus electric fire and television assists to relax the evenings away.
The well equipped kitchen and dining area for six gives everything you should need to cook up a feast and serve up a platter, whilst it incorporates a utility area with dishwasher and washer/dryer. At the rear through the kitchen door is your own small decked area with outdoor seating.

Summary: Lovely cottage in a lovely village. Great location for visiting The Dales We had an issue with parking and couldn’t park outside the cottage as there seem to be a car parked outside that didn’t move for the week and had to park on the road away from the cottage. Cottage ok for 3 of us. If we were a party of 5 an extra toilet would be an advantage.

Summary: This was a very nice cottage perfectly located for easy access to Fountains Abbey, Brimham Rocks, Ripon and Harrogate. The provisions provided on arrival were a very pleasant surprise and the host was responsive to communications queries. Overall, a very pleasant and enjoyable stay! I’ve docked a star because the website suggested that there was dedicated parking but in fact the parking is communal. Although there was always a space available during our stay, and there is on street parking nearby, this was misleading, and added some stress with the uncertainty.

Summary: Clean, comfortable, cosy cottage in excellent location. Parking easy. Hosts very helpful. Found it difficult to get in and out of bath&#47shower. Probably better to just have a shower in the small bathroom. Oven needed cleaning and the hob had been switched off, so needed to hunt for the switch.
