The apartment is suitable for 4 people and has 2 bedrooms with a double bed, 2 bathrooms, a sitting room with a separate dining area, a fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher and washing machine.
From the terrace you have a wonderful view of the Mediterranean Sea.
The apartment has WiFi, TV with Dutch and Belgian channels, air conditioning, electric shutters and blinds. And of course it has a communal swimming pool for the necessary cooling. In short, everything is there for a wonderful holiday.
The apartment is on the front line to the sea and a small beach "Playa del Moro". In a wonderfully quiet area with lots of greenery on the doorstep and yet very close to the main beach with its boulevard with restaurants and bars and the center of Villajoyosa. In the summer there is a "Chiringuito" on the beach where you can relax with a drink and possibly a snack until well into the evening. There are also a few large trees on the beach that provide the necessary shade. The main beach with the colorful houses, many bars and restaurants is a 10-minute walk away. Immediately behind the boulevard lies the old center of Villajoyosa with winding narrow streets and even more colorful houses. The bus / tram stop, supermarket, bakery, bank, pharmacy etc. are all within walking distance (10 min).
Villajoyosa, or as the locals say "la Vila", is the capital of the La Marina Baixa region on the Costa Blanca and is approximately 40 km. from Alicante airport.
Villajoyosa (Cheerful City) has always been a fishing village and to this day it has retained that old-world charm. You can still see the fishing boats sail out at sunrise. And around the clock from 4 to 5 in the afternoon you see the 1st boats full of fish returning. The fish is auctioned immediately at the fish auction. This auction is definitely worth a visit if you like to see how everything goes.
In addition to fishing, Villajoyosa is also known for its chocolate. Don't forget to taste the famous "chocolate con churros", specialty of the town where there were 20 chocolate factories in the last century. Also the mountainous
hinterland of the Costa Blanca is definitely worth it. You can still find the typical old Spanish villages and towns such as Guadelest and Alcoy. A trip to Valencia can also be done from Villajoyosa, for example. In short, you can enjoy the sun, sea and beaches here. Summary: A wonderful apartment on the first floor (with lift access) that had everything you could possibly need for a two-week stay. The complimentary cold wine, beer and water on arrival was a lovely touch by the owners! The rooms are bigger than the photos suggest and everywhere was spotlessly clean. It’s only a 10-minute walk to the town’s many bars and restaurants, the beautiful sandy beach, the supermarket and tram station. But, if you don’t fancy the short stroll, the apartment’s pool is lovely and clean, and there are several sun loungers. The pool area was never busy but, even if it was, there’s plenty of space for everyone. And the chiringuito beach bar (a two-minute walk away) is amazing - great food and a lovely chilled atmosphere in which to enjoy a nightcap! The owners are also lovely, helpful people - happy to deal with queries or answer questions at any time, but never intrusive. All in all, a wonderful apartment in a fabulous location. When we come back to Villajoyosa, this will be our first choice accommodation!

Summary: The owners Elise and Henk were fantastic, alloweing us to have the apartment early due to our flight times into Alicante. They were only a message away if we had any issues (we didn't) Having stayed in Villajoyosa many times since 2011 this was our first return since the CV19 crisis, and we and we couldn't have picked a better place for our return. This is without doubt the best place we've ever stayed and would look to stay again next year if our schedule allows and the apartment is available... 10/10 for location, and cleanliness, view, convenience and for both supermarket and tram stop, and only a short (10 minute) stroll to both the town centre and promenade to access the restaurants and bars along the front. There is a first class Argentinian restaurant for the best steaks ever at Ilpi, a fantastic Indian restaurant at The Maharaja and many, many more... We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "La Vila" and would guarantee that anyone looking for an authentic Spanish town would..........

Summary: This beautiful apartment was even better than the pictures. It had everything you could need for a wonderful stay. The owner Henk collected us from the airport in Alicante to transport us to the apartment which was in a quiet part of La Vilajoyosa with views out over the sea from the beautiful balcony. A handy little bar overlooking the sea was a few minutes walk away and the beautiful sandy beach of La Vila as the locals call it with its lovely restaurants was within walking distance. The tram stop which runs along the coast which enabled us to visit El Campello was only a few minutes walk way. There was also a lovely supermarket a few minutes walk away . We absolutely loved our 11 night stay here and would highly recommend this beautiful apartment . We will definitely return. Many thanks Henk and Elise .
