Summary: Fig Tree Farm has it all : THE most welcoming host , comfortable , spacious accomodation with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside & the friendliest animals ! Interaction with the animals is encouraged & all are cared for with great love by Lydia who goes out of her way to make sure guests , particularly children , know how to treat the various animals . Guests are welcome to collect the eggs , feed the hens & ducks , bottle feed the baby goats & help groom them & the guinea pigs. There is a delightful covered outdoor play kitchen area for young children & plenty of games , puzzles & toys indoors ; you really don't need to bring anything from home . There are plenty of great places to explore in nearby Samford Village or Mount Glorious , but for our family : parents , a 21mth old & grandparents , we didn't want to spend a moment of our stay away from the perfection of Fig Tree Farm !

Summary: Couldn’t recommend the place more! Lydia went above and beyond with her hospitality and made us feel so welcomed! From having so many supplies kitchen wise to all sorts of fun and games toy selection wise for our little girl to play with if inside/ around the house we felt so at home! The actual house is so comfortable and well laid out and so great still being near amenities! When it came to the animals we had such fun! It was great to have them so close to us and they all had such a beautiful nature! There were so many highlights from getting to pat the guinea pigs, feeding the ducks and goats- honestly the time just flew by and we loved every minute! Can’t wait to go back!

Summary: Fig Tree Farm was a terrific place to enjoy for all of our 3 family generations. Our young grandkids were totally spoilt by our wonderful host, Lydia, who went out of her way to make our stay very memorable. Nothing was too much trouble. The grandkids (& adults)loved collecting the chicken eggs , bottle feeding the gorgeous ‘kids’,Billy & Beau, also feeding the cows, sheep, ducks & guinea pigs. Lazing in the creek at the end of the property was a great way to cool off & for the children to explore. Lydia even had a special surprise with sharing her newest addition, Goldilocks, the duckling. The modern air-conditioned house so close to Brisbane, was a ‘home away from home’. The bread maker was popular with hot bread in the mornings & the freshly laid eggs were enjoyed for breakfast. The grandkids discovered a cupboard full of toys which was perfect entertainment when it was time to escape the summer heat outside. We would highly recommend a Fig Tree Farm stay.

Summary: This was by far the best accommodation we have booked. So good in fact, we extended our stay and still found it hard to leave. Lydia was welcoming, helpful and friendly. Her beautiful cottage was everything and more, it is better than the photos. Both the cottage and property had plenty to offer. Our little one was extremely keen to help Lydia around the farm and tending to all the animals. She was so patient and kind to him teaching him about everything on the farm. She went above and beyond in many ways. I enjoyed the fresh bread, eggs, oranges, lettuce and herbs from the garden. The creek was a big hit with our family as was the mud kitchen! It's actually hard for us to pick one single thing we enjoyed the most, it was all incredible. Lydia's place will not disappoint, you won't regret it. It was a gem we didn't know we'd love so much. We will definitely book again.
