Positive: The apartment is new and beautifully finished, extremely comfortable, and very well equipped. The bedrooms feature large, cozy beds and a TV in each room, plus a big TV in the living room. The dining area has a large table that can accommodate the whole family. The kitchen has absolutely everything you might need: a pressure coffee maker, toaster, and plenty of cooking and serving equipment. There’s also a lovely little terrace and two beautifully finished bathrooms. The apartment is located in the city center, and the host is incredibly kind and welcoming. For ski enthusiasts, there are secure lockers for gear with heated boot racks.

Negative: There are no downsides to this apartment.

Positive: Rarely have I been so impressed with accommodation that I have booked online. Incredibly well appointed flat which had just been renovated with very modern kitchenware. Plenty of room to hang clothes, vital on a ski holiday. It was impeccably clean and perfectly located. It is in a quiet area of Mayrhofen but only 30 seconds from the ski bus and about 2 minutes to Billa (the supermarket). The highlight is Martin as a host, nothing was too much trouble for him. He is contactable and accessible for any enquiries. He made our stay perfect and he and his family were incredibly kind to us and our son.

Negative: Nothing, it was all excellent

Summary: Simply put, the best flat we have had as a holiday rental.

Positive: The apartment was fantastic for our ski trip - extremely clean, modern and had everything we could possibly need. The location is ideal, within easy walking distance of the train station and the Mayrhofen ski lifts. Martin was an extremely attentive host and very responsive whenever we needed any help or had any questions. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Positive: The apartment is exceptional. The standards and quality of the fittings and fixtures are undoubtedly the best I have ever had the pleasure of spending time in. The personal touch to the design stands out and it's obviously a labour of love. The host Martin, made us feel unbelievably welcome. If you are lucky enough to receive the gift of the family Apfelstudel you will be blessed. Although the apartment is a little away from the centre of Mayrhofen it is close enough to still feel connected. There are a few bars and restaurants on the doorstep and we found them more to our liking than the most central ones. The regular ski bus stopped 60 seconds away and was really convenient. I can promise you will not be disappointed if you choose to stay in Fankhauser.

Negative: I have no negatives to share over the accommodation. However I will be honest about skiing in Mayrhofen in my opinion. I last visited 20 years ago and really didn't like the downlift from the Penkenbahn and said I wouldn't return. But I did and it is certainly much improved but it could be a little stressful and did detract from our usual experience. But we did Ahorn a couple of days and the glacier at Hintertux for a more comfortable ski down experience. I appreciate this may be more usual in other areas but I just don't like it. That aside, the skiing is generally fabulous with mostly fast lifts (with a few bottlenecks which could do with upgrading). But if you are settled on Mayrhofen for your break then Fankhauser should be top of your list to stay.

Positive: Great for a family group of 8, including 2 young children. Martin was a great host. The apartment met all our needs and the third toilet very handy for a big group. Thanks to Martin for recommending a very nice dinner option and helping to plan our daytime activities.
