Summary: I loved my stay here. The room was spacious and comfortable. It was nice and quiet for a good night’s sleep. And after lots of walking in Durham it was lovely to just eat at the Indian restaurant at the hotel and the food was excellent!

Summary: Staff member entered dining room 5 times before asking about our breakfast order, started thinking we were invisible. Asked what gluten free hot food they had and was told toast.not very helpful.did manage to order breakfast minus 3 items in the end but they could have done better with their service. when checking out they didn't care either, didn't ask if everything was ok,they were halfway up the stairs with washing etc. restaurant next door had no gluten free menu,but did manage to order food,but thought was a bit expensive for basically a curry.2 staff members had to ask our drinks order as the 1st was in training and wasn't much use taking order.

Summary: We had a lovely stay over the Durham Regatta weekend. Perfect for our needs, Big comfy room and tremendous breakfast. Free parking. Top notch.

Summary: Friendly staff, good free parking on the hotel grounds. Good location. Beautiful, old building, but that’s also the issue. We could here people walking on the floor above us. The bathroom is clean and nice but they forgot to place shower curtain, so was impossible to shower without water being everywhere. Wish these parts were better maintained. Somewhat tired building/facilities, but we only stayed overnight, so that’s ok. Breakfast is rather plain but staff is super friendly.
