During such a difficult time, we were seeking a place that could provide a brief escape from the heavy emotions our family was experiencing. We wanted a space where we could gather, share a meal, and offer some comfort and relief to those grieving. We hosted an after-wake dinner, and the house we chose exceeded all of our expectations. The home itself was more than spacious enough for our family and radiated the charm of a classic Vermont farmhouse, with breathtaking views to match. Its serene and welcoming atmosphere provided the perfect setting for a momentary reprieve from the sadness we were facing. The host was truly exceptional—she completely understood the delicate nature of our situation and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. She offered thoughtful suggestions on local catering services and ensured we had plenty of seating for everyone. Her kindness and willingness to help made a meaningful difference during a very tough time. I can't recommend this house and its host highly enough. The combination of the beautiful setting and the host’s care and consideration provided exactly the comfort and peace we needed.

Summary: We enjoyed our 2 night stay. Mountain Top Resort is only 4 miles away (attended wedding there). We found the house as advertised - plenty of space for 6 adults. The tv room is full of history books. Big back yard to explore & view from the porch was beautiful.
