Positive: Great dining in the Cedar restaurant. Rooms were nice and quiet. Good coffee bags in them.

Negative: I took my Dad for his Birthday and he didn't get a card or a cake at dinner. We got it after we went to bed. Not the service I expected as a repeat visitor. Carpets in the dining room needed cleaning and I had to ask for our rooms to be cleaned at 3.30pm. My husband ordered a pot of coffee and was given tea. Sadly no further repeat business from us. Rooms are expensive compared to other Michelin starred places we have stayed in around the UK.

Summary: Sadly didn't make the weekend for us

Positive: Breakfast was good. Nice selection of food available. Staff was efficient and pleasant.

Negative: The room was large and beautiful but did not like climbing steps to the bathroom.

Summary: Would have liked a small refrigerator in the room to keep drinks cold.

Positive: We were met in the car park and immediately offered help. Our rooms were ready and provided exactly what we requested. The tour of the guest areas was a lovely welcome. The attention paid to my elderly father was appreciated.

Negative: The weather! Our stay and meals were outstanding.

Positive: A beautiful country house hotel with some of the most pleasant staff I have encountered for a long time.

Negative: Whilst the breakfast was excellent myself and some guest dined in the restaurant which is of a variation on Indian cooking. I did not know that the restaurant was fusion food which sometimes I enjoy, but in this case was not to my pallet I found the dishes forgettable and at times juvenile.

Summary: I would highly recommend staying at this hotel and will return but I shouldn’t be eating dinner however I would recommen

Positive: It was a 4 star hotel but in my opinion it should be 5 star Staff were excellent room was spotless and food was outstanding. I've stayed in glen eagles and I think farlam was more relaxing.

Negative: Can not perfect perfection. Superb hotel
