Summary: We loved sitting out on the patio area, watching the goings on around the place, the tv wasn’t on at all. Visited Brampton for some excellent food and loved the Lanercost Priory when we visited there. Miltonrigg woods was just 2 minutes drive for a lovely dog walk as well. Could have done with a parasol on the patio when the sun was strongest but our intention was met for a few days of chilling. The staff were all friendly and we had a lovely breakfast at the cafe on our departure.

Summary: The cabin was absolutely spotless! All the necessities we needed including a little basket of tea coffee and biscuits. The hosts were the most attentive people, going above and beyond. The gents in the bait shop were so helpful in explaining the fishing to us and showed us the ropes. Can't wait to book again.

Summary: The views were incredible, the trout ponds were fascinating, we took a fishing lesson on our first day and thoroughly enjoyed it. The cafe is super convenient and all the staff were friendly and approachable! Our only hang up was that the mattresses were a little uncomfortable and the accommodation wasn't kitted out very well for cooking dinner so we ate out and got a couple of easy ready meals instead (pans were very small and there were no cutting knives to prep meals with) - otherwise, 5*!
