Summary: Checking in was a nightmare, starting with not having any access through the initial gate, which took 30 minutes for the owner to send an email with information I provided days earlier, that he sat on until I questioned him. Then the property was so difficult to find, it took us over an hour, while asking everyone we bumped into for guidance, then the electronic key didn’t work, so we had to wait another 30 minutes for security to come and use their key to unlock the door. A physical keycard was provided the next morning

Summary: We had an excellent stay at The Fishing Lodge. The condo was perfect for our 6 adult family members and had everything we needed. Ricardo was an excellent host. Communication was easy and check in and out was efficient. Note to those staying at FL for first time - it is a very quiet property. The Marina area is starting to develop with some nice dining options for dinner, but hours of operation are pretty inconsistent. If you are looking for unique off site dining options within Cap Cana, but outside the Fishing Lodge/Marina area, consider the Punta Espada Golf Club for lunch and La Palapa at Eden Roc for dinner. Two outstanding restaurants with 5 star views. It's easy to get taxis within Cap Cana.

Summary: This was our first trip to the Dominican Republic and I am certainly glad my wife found this wonderful condo in Cap Cana. Our entire experience was outstanding, from the pick-up at the airport to our check-in at the hotel desk to the high quality-friendly service of the staff, the diversity and quality of the food, and last but not least the views from our unit overlooking the marina area and the ocean. Much credit for our wonderful stay goes to Ricardo, as he smoothly orchestrated the logistics of unit rental, car rental and airport pickup and return. Our countless emails both prior to departure and on arrival and will at the condo were quickly answered and handled as if he was standing next to us. Thanks you Ricardo for your outstanding customer service. The restaurants both in the marina area nearby to Cap Cana are outstanding. We did not purchase the all-inclusive option from Also, opting instead to purchase a day-pass for those days we were just hanging by the pool. BTW the blue cheese burger at the pool bar is outstanding. In the evenings we would head to one of the several restaurants in the marina area that allowed us to purchase directly from their menu or venture out to a restaurant near by. Now that I am writing this review I realize the scale back home is not wrong. If you go I suggest you look over Ricardo's restaurant review as he is spot on. We did not have a bad meal and the variety of cuisines and quality of the chefs really stands out. The Fishing Lodge and Marina area of Cap Cana is very remarkable. It does take some time to learn your way around, although everyone is great in providing directions should you need them. I can be a bit directionally challenged. My suggestion is to spend some time just walking around as there are multiple levels and sometimes you need to go up, then back down to get to where you need to go. Quickly learned with only few wrong turns. The condo was perfect for our family. Plenty of space for everyone including the two teen agers. We certainly utilized the kitchen facilities along with the laundry. Breakfast in the morning and cocktails and snacks in the afternoon. In full disclosure there was one breakfast that included cocktails but mostly it was coffee in the AM. Having a washer and dryer in the condo is great. You can pack lighter and through in a load of clothes at night. it is also handy for those great beach towels that are in the unit. Thank Ricardo. We will return.

Summary: Ricardo, your villa was Phenomenal! We stayed in the 3 bedroom 3 12 bathroom. The Fishing Lodge/ Alsol Luxury Village is truly a must see! From the moment we opened the door, we were in amazement at the beauty! I know I drove Ricardo crazy with so many of my questions/concerns, but your replies always put us at ease! The views of the marina, as we sat on the balcony were breathtaking, as we watched the boats going and coming! The inside of the villa was spectacular, the pictures did not do it justice! It was spacious, beautiful and relaxing inside the villa! We loved everything about the villa, absolutely everything - one must see it to believe it! We chose to do the all inclusive, but if we wanted to cook, Ricardo had the kitchen well stocked. As well as ample towels, and all the amenities to make our stay wonderful! Ricardo never failed to keep us informed on everything we needed to know before our arrival. We look forward to revisiting this beautiful country and rebooking with Ricardo. Summary: Good stay at a nice property. Kitchen is adequate. Condo is very spacious and well decorated. Condo has washing machine and dryer. Kitchen does not have a dish washer. If you go to the grocery store garbage bags should be a consideration. The property is very spread out so a rental car is required. Only problem was with check in. Ricardo did not provide very good instructions on how to access property. I booked one day prior so that may have been the issue....There are 2 gates for Cap Cana. Stop at the check in center (to the right of the main gate) and get a car pass from the front desk. After, go straight though the gate to the fishing village (I think). You will pass a gas station on the left and come to a second gate. Go straight through that gate and through a shallow tunnel. This runs into the check in counter for the condo number 2001. Once you get here everything is pretty standard. Hope this helps.

Summary: I have been to Cap Cana for the last 7 years and have usually rented a villa right on the golf course. This time around we decided to rent a condo because of the number of people we had. It was a great decision as the condo we rented was a 3 bedroom that was on the ground floor (1001) that had a private swimming pool right in front of our unit. You could actually walk out of you living room and or dining room right into the pool. This unit had a surcharge of about $400.00 for the week but was well worth the extra cost. We also rented a six passenger SUV directly from Ricardo which was a definite no brainer as it allowed us to get to the golf course everyday, go grocery shopping, visit different beaches and restaurants. Whenever we needed to communicate with Ricardo he responded in a timely manner. As I had mentioned we have rented villas in the past and we all felt that this condo represented much more bang for the buck. We will definitely be returning next year.

Summary: I really enjoyed my stay in this particular condo. It was extremely spacious, great view of the pool area, large patio, and very clean. The owner was very quick to respond to all questions and concerns. He also gave us a booklet with good information regarding the resort and places to check out in Punta Cana in general.

Summary: The unit is extremely spacious and well appointed with all of the modern comforts of home. My family loved it. There is a huge balcony that overlooks the main pool and is great for lounging or having a nice meal. There are two pools right near the condo, another about a 3 minute walk away and a 4th pool near the Tiara accommodations about a 10 minute walk away. The grounds are impeccable and the staff very friendly. I do suggest renting a jeep for the beach and to visit scape park as well as restaurants in the other sister resorts. Ricardo and Stephany were a pleasure to deal with and there was nothing more we could ask for. We look forward to returning.
