If you want a fancy but cozy house, this is the place! We haven't rented our house since 2019 and renovated it a lot in the meantime.

About the property:
It has a main house and an extra apartment is beside the house. This apartment will be available by request.
The main house sleeps 11 adults, has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
The apartment has 1 bedroom with queen size bed and in the living room there is a queen size loft bed. It is brand new and sleeps up to 4 people. The apartment has a kitchen with everything you need and the 3rd bathroom.
The whole property (main house + extra apartment) can sleep 15 adults, has 5 bedrooms, 10 beds and 4 bathrooms.
This beautiful villa located only 10 minutes drive to Reykjavík Centre has everything you need for the perfect vacation with your group or family.
The northern lights often dance on the lot in the winter so you can enjoy them without leaving the house. Even in the hot tub!
Free private parking in driveway fits 4 cars
Grocery store which is open 24/7, pharmacy, restaurants, ice cream store and swimming pool is 400m away.
The main house has two floors. Everything is on the first floor except for the master suite with en-suite bathroom which is on 2nd floor.
Kitchen and living room are connected which is perfect for groups.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay in this family home. Sara was a very responsive host, meeting us at the property to show us around and even sending us messages about happenings around Reykjavik during our stay. The house was very conveniently located (if you have kids, make sure to walk to the nearby park with a jumping pillow) and had everything we needed for a great stay. Thanks to Sara and family for hosting us!

Summary: Beautifully renovated home, which was absolutely perfect for our stay. Sara was extremely helpful in accommodating our group and we were welcomed with a bottle of bubbly with champagne glasses already set out - a welcome treat after a long day of travel! The home itself is just that, a real home, and to have that feeling while traveling is fantastic. There was plenty of space, the beds were extremely comfortable, each room is equipped with blackout shades for the long summer days, kitchen and baths are great, the family room/entertainment center are set up for apple tv, and outside there is a large yard and hot tub for soaking after a day of hiking. There is a Hagkaup grocery down the street which makes stocking up on food very easy, and the drive to downtown Rekjavik is less than 10 minutes - plus you get to drive on the best named road ever - "Harfnarfjevarvegur"! I highly recommend this property, and feel lucky that we found such a perfect place to call home for our summer solstice Iceland vacation. Thank you again, Sara!
