Positive: As soon as we stepped out of our Grab, we were greeted by Jimmy’s huge grin 😁 one of the friendliest and most helpful people I’ve ever met. After a quick introduction, he showed us to our room… and wow, what a space. It was large and well-equipped, with a table, two chairs, fridge, kettle, and even a sofa. The lighting was really nice too, which helped my unwell girlfriend relax. Everything was spotless, and the bathroom was great, with a hot shower. There was also a good-sized balcony with a table and two chairs. In the evenings, Jimmy cooked us some fantastic dinners. Honestly, I’d rate his cooking above most of the restaurants we tried, and the chicken with passion fruit was a standout. Don’t miss out on Jimmy’s tours. We did the floating market and the forest tour, and both were interesting and very relaxing. I’d 100% recommend booking these through him. On our first morning, his lovely wife Daisy prepared us breakfast and coffee. We were also free to use the kitchen, so we even fried up a few extra eggs ourselves. The location might not suit everyone, but it was perfect for us as we wanted a few days to properly unwind. It’s about a 25-minute taxi ride from the airport and 15 minutes to the bus terminal. Jimmy also helped us book sleeper bus tickets, which made things really easy. If I’m ever back in the area, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again 😁

Positive: Jimmy’s homestay was the best homestay I have ever stayed in. The room was really clean and comfy. Jimmy’s tour was also excellent and was one of my favourite days during my whole Vietnam trip. Jimmy cooked us dinner one evening which was great. Jimmy’s home is out of the way of the hustle and bustle which we enjoyed; there is not many shops around so just be aware of this. It truly gave us a real experience of the Mekong.

Positive: The room was very comfortable, clean, and big, ac worked perfectly. The floating market tour was interesting and not expensive. Jimmy is a great guide, accommodating host and both dinners we had in his house were really good. The catfish on the second day was the best fish I've ever eaten. His knowledge about herbs and plants is impressive and the teas we made ourselves from his plants best ever!

Negative: Some attraction to details could be improved. Window sill should be cleaned and painted, old plastic chairs removed from the deck.

Located in a local neighborhood, it is so quiet at night but still easy to get to destinations. I really felt like home and would love to come back when I visit Can Tho again. Located slightly outside the city center in a quiet area of Can Tho, it’s currently not accessible by car due to roadwork—making the complimentary transfers from the family especially helpful and appreciated. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The 1.80 m king-size bed was a highlight, and having both a private and shared balcony added extra comfort and charm. Communication with Jimmy was excellent—quick, clear, and always friendly. He and his family took great care of us, even inviting us to share two home-cooked dinners that made the experience feel extra personal. Jimmy and his team also offer tours around the Mekong Delta. We took a boat trip to the floating markets and explored local traditions like rice noodle making—an authentic and memorable experience.

Positive: Jimmy is great and care so much about guests having the best experience possible. Accommodations are spotless even to western standards. Very rare for Vietnam!

Negative: A bit far from the city so options so limiting the convenience on doing multiple activities easily or walking but it really depends on what you are visiting for and for how long.
