Positive: The team is very kind and hard working, from Mari at the frontdesk, Panos and Elsa at the bar, Bruna and Nikos at the restaurant and the Chef Dionisios, and as well the safeguard at the pool, thank you for your hospitality and professionalism, thats what truly makes us want to go back and recommend the property! Also very close of lots of shops restaurants travel agencies and the beach is 10/15 min walking. Perfect. The food and drinks were surprinsingly amazing.

Negative: Maybe we should consider on holiday to not even using wifi but if its offered to guests it should be working properly. It was slow in the room sometimes not working. The pool is open from 10-18pm which it could be a little more flexible.

Positive: The hotel buildings and the pool area are nice, the food was delicious and the ladies at the reception were friendly and helpful. The welcome drinks (a bottle of wine and two small bottles of water) were a thoughtful gesture. The snacks by the pool were very good too. The Kalamaki Beach is very beautiful, clean and quiet.

Negative: For the 7 nights we spent at the hotel, we didn't get proper cleaning of our rooms - the towels were replaced randomly, the sheets were not changed even once, there was no refill whatsoever (of tea, coffee, and even toilet paper). The maids only threw away the trash and that was all... The water in the shower was either freezing cold or super hot, it was almost impossible to adjust the right temperature. There were not enough choices of seafood and typical Greek food, which was another disappointment. And the packed lunch we got on one of the days, was a total joke - a sandwich (two slices of bread with ham and cheese), a bottle of water and an apple. The staff in the restaurant was very pushy - they were always in a hurry to take our plates/glasses even before we had finished eating/drinking. They also looked very tired and almost never smiled. And the top of it all was the strange closing time of the pool - 6 p.m., which is too early by every standard. In general, this hotel definitely does not deserve four stars. Oh, and it's rather far away from the beach, too, so going there in the heat was a real torture.

Positive: My mother and I spent 11 nights/12 days at this hotel, and I definitely have something to share. First, the hotel is only 5 minutes away from the airport. After our 27-hour journey from Ukraine, this proximity was a great relief. The sounds of takeoff and landing don't disturb. The beach offers an incredible view of flying planes. We arrived around 2 p.m., had lunch, and then checked in right away. Our room was near the reception area and had a terrace with a view of the smaller pool. We had everything we needed there. The food was varied and incredibly delicious. Everything was always fresh, appetising, and there were plenty of options. There were different types of meat and fish, as well as seafood. Several times in the evening, the chef prepared gyros in front of the guests. There was always food available at the snack bar by the pool. Sandwiches, ice cream, and other dishes were available in the refrigerators during the bar's operating hours. You definitely won't go hungry here! The staff is very friendly and speaks English well. Some waiters even know the word ‘thank you’ in Ukrainian. What I liked most was the absence of russians at the hotel. If there were any russians, they were invisible)) The hotel's clientele is European: Hungarians, Czechs, Poles, Germans, British... The hotel grounds are clean and tidy. Rooms are cleaned and towels are changed daily. Beach towels are provided for a €10 deposit per towel, plus a non-refundable €3 charge per towel. Replacement of these towels is free of charge. The beach is a 10-15 minute walk at a leisurely pace. The hotel doesn't have its own beach. In general, there are no private beaches because loggerhead turtles nest there. Areas with turtle eggs are fenced off and monitored by ecologists. The entrance to the sea is gentle, the water is very clean - refreshing in the morning and very warm in the evening. 2 sun loungers + umbrella cost €15-€20 per day from ‘private entrepreneurs’.

Negative: The glass partition in the shower cubicle was depressurised and water leaked slightly into the toilet area. This wasn't fixed, but it didn't cause much inconvenience. There were NO unpleasant odours.

Summary: A wonderful place for a relaxing holiday, where everything is included!

Positive: The property offered a clean, pleasant environment. Daily towel exchange,two clean swimming pools and a toddler pool, ample sun beds and a poolside bar. Do not think it is far from the sea - it’s only a ~8 minute walk, filled with various tour and rental options, as well as small shops selling food and drink for the beach. The staff were extremely helpful, and a special thanks goes to Elza and Petros who were particularly friendly in conversation and helped us figure out what points of interest to visit.

Negative: The only point of contention for Exotica is the outdated decorum of the hotel, however it outweighs this factor up in all the positives it offers. Perhaps longer operating hours on the swimming pool would also be nice, but there is always an option to visit the sea, so it’s really not that much of a sticking point.
