Summary: We had a reunion of 33 friends, who hadn’t all been together in 25 years. Aging from 2 to 80. We rented both properties. A little tight in sleeping arrangements because no one wanted the nice boathouses without bathrooms, but we knew that going in, as the listing says that. (A great place for teenagers, but we had none). But all was fine. The properties are well equipped with everything you would want..kitchen supplies, grills, high chairs, outside chairs and tables, small step-in beach, and the trampoline..wow..great entertainment. We had every night’s dinner on the fantastic large outside patios with a terrific amount of seating and a spectacular view of the lake! We fully enjoyed ourselves at these lakefront homes and would definitely recommend them to all. Checkin was simple and Helena was responsive to our few needs. Thanks!!

Summary: This was our second year in a row renting one of Helena’s beautiful villas- Villa Finlandia last year and Villa Nordica this year, for a Labor Day Weekend getaway with some friends. Helena once again blew us away with a fully accommodated stay and everything we could ask for, from a spotless and beautiful main house and boathouse, to an immaculately maintained waterfront property with a lovely pier and water rafts, to an informative and helpful arrival package with all the information we needed. The house was spotless upon arrival and came with everything one could need, with plenty of bathroom towels for all the guests, a fully equipped kitchen, and plenty of seating and sleeping space for everyone. The property is spacious and absolutely beautiful, with gorgeous views of the lake at any time of the day or night. Truly could not ask for a better place to spend one of the last weekends of the summer, and we are all looking forward to returning for a third year!

Summary: Villa Nordica is a great place for a large family. It sleeps 8 adults comfortably in the house and a bunk room that sleeps four. One of the basement rooms and the bunk room do not have outside window access, window opens to hallway. There is also a 4 person bunk room in the boat house, our teens loved it but there is no bathroom as stated in description, so would not recommend for younger children. Powers Lake is a great lake for tubing and skiing. We rented a pontoon, wave runner and kayaks which was so much fun. Rock Bar was a fun place for drinks on the lake and the Annex was a short walk away. We recommend Pierless Boat Rentals, tell Kevin we sent you! Would also recommend the Aquanut ski show at Twin Lakes, great show and dinner after at Touch of Class! The patio has a great view and lots of seating options. Plenty of seating in kitchen and family room for games and meals. Helena and Joel were quick to fix all issues that came up which was appreciated, including doing our laundry one day since the dryer was broken. I would recommend bringing your own blankets, bath towels. kitchen towels and beach towels. Bath towels are provided but not in great condition. Basement rooms were chilly with ac on and kids were cold in bunk house. For the cost, a few repairs are needed and updates to bedding and mattresses but overall a nice place to stay. Would recommend if looking for a fun week at the lake!

Summary: We had a terrific 3-week stay at Powers Lake and Villa Nordica, and we’re planning to stay even longer next year! Great family hangout space both inside and outside. And lots of bedrooms/beds. The only issue was a non-working dryer, but the property manager was very responsive and made arrangements for our laundry to be picked up. Can’t wait to come back!

Summary: We rented this house for a weeklong family getaway with our adult children and grandchildren - 13 people, including 7 children ages 8-15. I'll preface by saying we were diagnosed with Covid one week prior and, sadly, were unable to participate in the festivities, so the review is from our adult son. House has a great location in a quieter side bay of Powers Lake. Lake has shallow shoal area in the middle which is good for hanging out. boat traffic very heavy on the weekend. House features a nice open kitchen, dining, living area in main house that can accommodate 12. Gas and charcoal grills a plus and in good condition. Fridge in boat house and extra fridge and freezer in main house plus extra deep freezer in main kitchen…so plenty of cold storage. Big pantry for food storage as well in the kitchen. Huge deck. Good fire pit right next to the water along with a flat grassy area good for games. Dock and trampoline had issues but they were prompt to address and fix. 12 people and only 2 bathrooms was a challenge at times. Trampoline in the water is shared with sister house next door so if both houses are full it can be a waiting game. Main house could use more hooks/bars for clothes and towels. Overall really enjoyed our time.
