Summary: This hotel, relatively new and operating at about 50% capacity during our visit, had its pros and cons. On the plus side, finding a seat in the restaurants and lounging at the pool or beach was a breeze. However, the atmosphere was strikingly quiet, almost to the point of boredom. Music seemed scarce, and playing your own tunes was reserved for a select few guests. One afternoon, while enjoying some music at the beach, we were told to lower the volume. I complied but after a brief interaction with an employee, we were asked to turn it off completely ironically, shortly after, a live band began performing nearby. This inconsistency left us frustrated, especially since the staff, while friendly and eager to please, seemed to enforce rules selectively. Entertainment options were minimal, with volleyball being the highlight at the main pool, which was surprisingly empty. We were excited for a cantarito class, but instead of making our drinks, we merely watched a bartender prepare them. Such moments felt underwhelming; I could’ve easily learned from online videos. The silent disco was a standout experience, drawing a crowd that craved entertainment. However, after the evening activities ended around 9:30, the hotel became eerily quiet, with guests huddled in the lobby, where laughter was met with disapproving looks. On the plus side, the food was some of the best I’ve had at a resort, complemented by trendy decor that made for great photos. Overall, we probably wouldn't return

Summary: This is our second stay at the Excellence club, Excellence Punta Cana being the first. This property is built very similarly to the Punta Cana location, which we love, but since it's newer it's even better. The pools, service, food, cleanliness, and activeness are top notch. The only complain I have is the beach access. The drop off is quite steep so where we were laying on the beach you can't actually see the beach, and there were very little waves so you can't hear it either.
