Positive: Simo is an exceptional host! I have been traveling solo for many years and there is always a little discomfort, when arriving to an unfamiliar location. Simo went out of her way to meet me, get me accommodated at the beautiful local restaurant Lalatteria Rizza (shoutout to the owner Emanuele for the delicious food & chic decor - def check it out! ). The apartment is super comfortable, convenient, quiet, cozy and perfect for a short or longer stay. I was there for 3 nights, and would stay there longer. Many thanks to Simo and Alessandro for sharing your home with me. Cant wait to return to stunning Matera!

Positive: Super close to one of the busstop that comes from Bari airport, close to old city centre. Simona is such a joyful and helpful host too! Accom is big and clean. Bed was comfy as well

Positive: It’s difficult to imagine a better place to stay in Matera than Evviva Maria. The apartment makes you feel completely at home, as if you were staying in a beautifully newly renovated space of your own. The location is outstanding - just a few steps are enough to enjoy the breathtaking views of the Sassi, and there’s even a supermarket conveniently located next door. Simona, the host, is exceptionally warm and welcoming. I was even greeted with a delicious local focaccia, which was such a lovely touch :) If it were possible, I would gladly give this place 11/10. I truly hope to return one day!

Positive: The apartment is very nice and is in an excellent location in relation to the sassi. It is well equipped and has central heating which means you don't have to use AC when it's cold. An additional plus is the parking space. Last but not least, Simona is a very caring and nice hostess! Evviva Maria is an excellent and very affordable accommodation in Matera.
