Positive: Wonderful views, especially from the lovely garden. Sarah, the host, was extremely welcoming and provided everything we needed including some very useful local knowledge. Easy parking just in front of the property. Very easy access into the town.

Positive: The location was perfect, right alongside the river and an easy walk into town for able-bodied people. We didn’t need yo use the car all week. Semur-en Auxois is our favorite city in France. Sarah, our host couldn’t have been more gracious and helpful. Beautifully decorated. Lovely bathroom.

Negative: The gîte is quite small, but fine for two people.

Summary: Nicely located well-appointed gîte on the river, amazing views!

Positive: A wonderful way to spend our last day on the road after 3 weeks!! A lovely cottage deep in the countryside - and deep in a canyon with wonderful picture postcard views from the small garden. Although furnished in a slightly old-fashioned style, this accommodation must suit everyone. A perfect self-contained cottage next door to the owner who is lovely and helpful. Parking is possible in front of the building or a little further along the road (where it is wider). Five minutes up the steps alongside the cottage is the small town which has a variety of restaurants and shops.
