Positive: Such an excellent place to stay. Rupert has built a really beautiful place with a great sense of community. I love how it was very eco -friendly and used a lot of upcycled materials. The kitchen was so well equipped and lots of space for everyone. Rupert encouraged family dinners which was a great way to meet and socialise with other guests and was a great host as he took us into town with him so we could go to the supermarket. Very comfortable and beautifully designed rooms. Lots of nice chill out areas and great free use of canoes on the lovely Nata river. A highlight of our two months in Africa.

Positive: Of all the places I’ve stayed in Botswana this one has the most soul! Rupert has created a community here that felt like a family. Everyone was welcoming and kind. It was a lovely stop over and not far from Nata (Shoprite supermarket) or the Pans. In the kitchen recipes were shared. At the table and beside the fire stories were told. My children loved it especially the canoes. The rooms were spacious and clean and there was always hot water! Thank you for everything!

Positive: We booked 1 night, and decided to stay 2. I would have stayed longer if there was not more to see in Botswana. There is so much to do on the property such as Kayaking, pool table, darts, golf, slack lining, volleyball, pool. They have a full shared kitchen, and great wifi. Eselbe hostel has really been a highlight for me in Botswana. Great vibes/great staff. I would definitely return to the property if I were to return to Botswana. Thank Rupert for a wonderful stay!

Negative: Having 1 more bathroom on the property would be nice.

Positive: Camping was great. We had a unique opportunity to use kayaks provided free of charge. The hosts were very friendly. The entire hippy vibe was awesome. There's a fireplace where you could talk to different other travelers. You really feel like at home.

Positive: Bear in mind that it’s a backpacker camp, so don’t go there expecting luxury. That said, it was comfortable and so creatively decorated! The free canoes on the river were the best. Go out at sunset and watch the birds. Also, the owner is really nice and super helpful. The vibe of the place is the best.

Negative: It gets a bit toasty if you go in hot season, but you can cool off in the pool or under the shower.

Summary: Awesome. I’d absolutely go back.
