Positive: The location is fantastic for exploring Hadrian's Wall which was the aim of our trip, and the room was great - the bed was very comfortable and there was a nice shower. Carolyn was a great host and we very much enjoyed the breakfast each morning. Plenty of space to park a car and despite other reviews we thought it was very easy to drive to from the main roads - it's a narrow road but with many passing places and not very far.

Negative: We were initially surprised that there were no locks on the bedroom doors but the house is secure and if the hosts are out then they give you a main door key.
