Spare Time Beach House is at the forefront of all the front row homes. Views span from Bodega Head to Jenner and everything in between. You can sleep with the windows open to the sound of the waves. People come to Carmet Beach specifically for the tide pooling and sunset views. Arched Rock, Dragon Rock, Carmet Beach State Park, Salmon Creek State Park & surfers (in the distance) are all visible from the living room and deck.
Situated on the bluff directly above Carmet Beach. 1-2 minute stroll down to either side of Carmet beach. At low tide, there is access to multiple beaches to the south.
The bungalow is curated to anticipate a guests every need. A well-stocked, warm and inviting beach house that offers some of the best views on the Sonoma Coast. Wake up to the crisp ocean air, watch remarkable sunsets, gaze at the starry sky while luxuriating in the sparkling hot tub. Fall asleep to the sound of the Pacific Ocean.
This single story bungalow has maintained the air of a rustic beach cottage while being updated where it's important. Even discerning guests will feel comfortable. Summary: We had a wonderful stay at Spare Time beach house. The location was perfect—right across the street from the ocean with an incredible, unobstructed view of the Pacific. We could hear the waves from inside the house, which made the whole experience feel so peaceful and relaxing.The house itself was spotless and thoughtfully set up with everything we needed. It’s updated with modern touches but still feels warm and inviting. The kitchen was fully stocked—we cooked two meals and didn’t find ourselves missing anything. And the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind after a day of hiking or exploring—nothing beats sitting in it while listening to the ocean.Cari was amazing—very responsive, clear, and helpful throughout the whole process. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and communication was smooth from start to finish.We come to Bodega Bay once or twice a year to escape the heat and soak in the trails, beaches, and great food. This has definitely become one of our favorite vacation rentals, and we’ll absolutely try to stay here again!

Summary: Loved it! The house has the perfect mix of casual beach vibes with excellent amenities. Everything you need is here, and is in good shape. Beds and couches are comfy and clean.Wasn't sure if being right on the hwy would be too noisy, but you don't notice it when you're inside and the ocean view is sooo worth the slow roll of cars.We especially appreciated how dogs are not only allowed, but approved of, and really added to the pleasure of having our two dogs with us. The fenced rear yard was secure enough to feel ok having them out there.

Summary: This was our 2nd time staying at Spare Time with our 2 big dogs. The house has every amenity you could ask for! It has the perfect location with amazing ocean views, plus you are a short drive from lots of great food options. Cari is an amazing host. Great communication and zero issues with our stays. We love coming to Spare Time and will only consider staying there when we go to BB.

Summary: Cari’s home is clean, comfortable, warm, and has MANY perks. The views of the ocean from the front windows are incredible! We went to the tide pools across the street and found starfish, crabs, mussels, hermit crabs, little fish, a clam worm and so much more! Be aware that the path down is steep in places, but worth it. Over at Bodega Bay harbor, we had the good fortune of seeing an elusive weasel TWICE! We flew kites at Bodega Head, hiked, watched for whales, and enjoyed the sunset. Being in the hot tub after a day of hiking and tide-pooling was so pleasant. Cari is quick to respond to any questions and ensures your stay will be all that you need it to be. FYI: The Tides restaurant is NOT what it used to be.

Summary: My wife and I stayed here along with our corgi and 2 month old son. This place was beautiful, and had everything that we needed during our stay. The location was so convenient, and seeing the view from the property was priceless. Cari had great communication throughout our stay.
