Summary: Overall, our stay was very pleasant. Very helpful with instructions on how to use appliances and equipment in the house. Great view and nice neighborhood. We had one issue with a leaking sink in the kitchen that was a known issue seeing there was a bowl to capture the water. However, we were not aware of the issue until we had water all the floor in the morning. There are some cosmetic flaws that could be addressed as well i.e. patching & painting of walls. Certainly easy fixes to make the stay more comfortable and relaxing.

Summary: Yuan was very responsive to messages. The house, while dated, was comfortable for my two kids and us, and we appreciated the home base while in Vancouver. Yuan even let us us e the garage out back and charge our rental e-car while there.

Summary: Quiet and neat neighborhood made for relaxing mornings and evenings after big days of adventures. There was plenty of room for us to spread out and relax. Grocery stores and restaurants were a five minute drive away. Drive time from Stanley Park was longer than we anticipated but the comfortable rooms, quiet, and beautiful views were just what we needed. The owner Yuan was pleasant and easy to talk to.

Summary: This property was just as it was listed. We just didn’t realize there were so many stairs! Stairs going down from the garage to back door, stairs from the street to the front door, narrow spiral stairs going up to bedrooms! We ended up Leaving bags on main floor and not taking them upstairs! There is a lot of maintenance/painting that needs to be done on property. Yuan was very helpful when some things fell apart and he got them fixed in a timely manner. Check in and check out was very easy!

Summary: What a great place to stay in! It’s cozy and very relaxing. A great place to reconnect with friends you haven’t seen for a long time. Location is great for touring friends around as it is in the middle of Metro Vancouver.

Summary: There's a lot to like about this property--beautiful views in a quiet and safe residential neighborhood, with lots of places for my family of 5 to spread out. However, the house was in need to a deep clean--lots of dog hair in corners and on the stairs and dust on many surfaces, though the "turnover" cleaning was good. The first night we couldn't get one of the gas burners to turn off and when I contacted Juan about it at about 7pm, he couldn't attend to it until 10:30pm, which was unreasonably late. We figured out how to turn off the gas to the stove altogether so I asked him to come the next day instead but he said that wasn't possible for him so he came at 10:35pm that evening, not really giving us an option, which is certainly not optimal by any means. There are lots of nice amenities in the house, but spottiness in what's available in the kitchen (no mixing bowls, only 9 forks total, 4 wine glasses, etc.), and the front room really needs a sofa so the view can be enjoyed. There are not 4 full bathrooms as it states in the description. We did appreciate that the only thing required of us to check out was to empty the garbage/recycling. (Note--the garage is up 2 flights of stairs via the backyard and the garbage bins are up there. This was not obvious to us since the garage actually looks like a separate house.) With just a bit more thoughtfulness to the space, better cleaning and the addition of a property manager to address issues when Juan isn't available, this could be a truly wonderful vacation home.
